StarTrek episodes on YouTube getting cleared out?

Every once in a while I like to review an episode of Star Trek on You Tube. For a long while, it seemed that most of TNG, DS9, VOY seasons and some parts of ENT were available. But recently doing a little jumping around, I've been discovering a lot of episodes where parts are missing (usually 4th or 5th segment). Has anybody else noticed this? I've heard YouTube sometimes does this to spoil a copy while leaving enough content as a form of "advertisement" (meaning, someone starts watching a movie but can't finish it, so it becomes incentive for them to rent/buy it).

seems to be ok on the TOS side. Mind you wish CBS would removed their ones as those videos no longer work.

^ TOS has been regularly available on Hulu, so I guess it's not a target. Just no direct advertising revenue on YT.

It may have something to do with the Netflix deal which is about to start streaming most of the series in early July. But who really knows?

^ Good point. I can see that in the case of officially sanctioned copies posted on YT. But for ones posted by private individuals... well, maybe not worth the effort for them to chase down, especially given the very low resolution.
