Started DS9 all over again

I'm about to start a DS9 run myself. I never completed the sixth and seventh season so I am looking forward to finally seeing them.

Season 6 and 7 are probably THE best sci-fi telly ever
I beg to differ. In Season 7, there's so much focus on the Dominion War, the rest of the stories suffer. Almost no Odo episodes. No Bajor episodes. The Ferengi episodes are awful. Dukat is ruined. And the final episodes are a collection of rushed soap-opera endings.

It's still good Trek, but not THE best sci-fi telly ever, in my opinion.

I think that's the central theory of Netflix marathon viewing. Everything starts to look good because it becomes it's own standard for comparison. ;)

That's a great way to describe it. And other stuff seems so much better when you come out of the complete-run coma!

I would agree season 6 is one of the best complete seasons of Trek ever if not the best but I disagree about season 7. The final arc was awesome but not as good as the DS9 Occupation arc in season 6, and the first half of the season had the greatest stinker ratio of any run in the show.

Have you checked out Avatar (not the movie, the DS9 books)?

With the original I'm actually just starting to rewatch DS9 myself. Of course, over the past few years I've been watching the series in stardate order, so starting with "Broken Bow" and going right through to "Endgame" & "Star Trek Nemesis" So right now I'm up to TNG Season 6/DS9 Season 1.

I wish I could get into the novels, but I find the rehabilitation of Ro Laren to be contrived and unbelievable.

Be nice!!! :p I'm redeemable!!

It would be nice if you smiled as often as seen in your avatar!

As for the OP...the pilot certainly has rewatch value. I do wish Nana Visitor had a better handle on her character (angry angry is so overdone) and WHY CANT PRODUCERS FIGURE OUT...that jumpsuits do no favors for anyone. Either give the Bajorans a proper uniform or stick her in a SF uni from the beginning.

Not that it would have mattered I guess, since all the DS9 crew wore ugly jumpsuits until First Contact.

Well, Odo does play a significant role at the end. That final run was so good. I felt like anything could happen. I thought they were going to off Odo right there and then in "Tacking..."
