It either didn't or was off in the background somewhere.
Is there any reason it couldn't have been?
I mean, like it or not, DIS S1-2 makes it clear that certain design aesthetics that were previously associated with the mid-to-late 2370s are now elements that were present in another form in the 2250s. So it's not at all implausible that Picard had his first warp flight aboard a ship from the 2250s when he was a cadet in the 2320s.
They really don't.where all his ship designs look the same no matter what race,
They really don't.
It's just terrible when people make aesthetic choices of which you don't approve, isn't it?![]()
lower deck is just ''reheated familiar'' fanwank so no shit they're gonna use the old outdated connieLower Decks
The worst. I simply will not stand for it!It's just terrible when people make aesthetic choices of which you don't approve, isn't it?![]()
It's a lot better than that. Plus they have used other new designs.lower deck is just ''reheated familiar'' fanwank so no shit they're gonna use the old outdated connie
They really don't.
Weird how they have the nacelle struts straight in the plans below and a different deflector. I believe it's the concept art for the 25% different design.
Those analyzes were fun. People came out with some great ideas and designs based on what little we saw.I really do love the fact that the people in charge of putting these models & scenes together are publishing exactly what everything is, within a week of being shown on-screen, as opposed to making us wait 20-30 years, long after the show aired and ended, while we painstakingly analyze tiny little blurs on a screen cap like an endless Rorschach test. The Wolf 359 ships and DS9 Frankenfleet come to mind here. They really do finally get it!![]()
So it sounds like the Magellanic Clouds are inside the Great Barrier then?I think the 8 blue ones you posted are the only ones that made it.

Here's a direct link to the album, there's close ups of all the final plaques

Maybe they have some classified hyperdrives in the show now...who knows? Either way I really think the speeds in Star Trek are woefully slow compared to other shows, and maybe it IS time to make the ships go faster to really expand the universe. The Magellanic Clouds thing is utter nonsense. They're 150,000-200,000 LY from Earth. That ship ain't getting there and back in five years, especially in the year 2301.

Could be a subspace vortex like the Xindi used. So, like the spore drive, Starfleet had yet another way to travel long distances in a short time, a century before Voyager was lost, and they didn't utilize it? Not buying it. It's just nonsensical information on a plaque that should be logically ignored.
