Spoilers Starship Design in Star Trek: Picard

Jez people. Lay off them. They are just two guys who enjoy discussing starships. We are doing the same thing here but seem to be able to do it without picking each other apart. Getting called out or made fun of for liking and discussing Star Trek on a Star Trek BBS board is weird.

The Trekyards video review is just them clapping, which I thought was sweet.
Heh! have to check that one out.

Um, you must have missed several recent threads.

And I've been teased by Trek fans for decades now for liking TOS. Sadly, built in to my Trek fan experience.

Yes, the geek tendancy to punch down on other geeks nerding out about Starships in a *checks notes* 400-page thread about Starships never ceases to amaze me.

I find those two incredibly annoying. The smugness is just too much for me. Out of morbid curiosity I checked out their livestream tonight and the first thing I hear is the declaration that this proves SNW is an alternate timeline, this is fixing the mistake of the Discoprise, bla bla bla....
Tuned those two out long ago. They are not worth my time.

Hmm, the Sternbach and Cole are actually labelled Farragut and Copernicus. And didn‘t somebody here identify the Excelsior II as USS Excelsior rather than USS Mestral?
I‘m generally glad that we get this sort of information, but I‘m starting to have doubts about their veracity.

Okay, so we got:
NCC-42027 - USS Mestral - Excelsior II class
NCC-72370 - USS Trumbull - Duderstadt-Klasse
NCC-97422 - USS Yorktown - Echelon class
NCC-97621 - USS Cole - Echelon class
NCC-97942 - USS Sternbach - Echelon class

Sternbach should have been a ship he designed, an intrepid comes to mind :)

I have no problem with people voiceing there opinion, but when you start wishing harm or death on somebody, thats crossing a line.
Never watched them anyways. Did do some business with them, but were a bit jerky about it. owell

That was me. I can look at the scene again, but I’m almost positive that Excelsior II’s registry was 42037, not 42026.

Edit: I see that there was updates to the ship info since I last posted. It looks like Blass is correct that the ship is the Mestral 42027 (And another Excelsior II that has a lower registry number than the class ship.)

Dave admitted the names in the render were a mistake in the comments. The names he gave in the tweet are correct, it's just the pictures that are wrong.
