Spoilers Starship Design in Star Trek: Picard

I worry you are setting your expectations waaaay too high.

"They are gonna take the Stargazer set from Season 2 and make it the new enterprise with the old crew"

Just keep your expectations low. It's not a big ship in space show.

It's driving around LA show

All the cgi assets and sets are disco retreads.
Now I really know you haven't actually watched the show or just didn't pay attention.

None of the ship assets in Season 2, save a single shuttle in Episode 1, were reused from Discovery.

The Stargazer sets were completely scratch built in LA. Discovery is filmed in Toronto, they used none of their sets in Season 2.

The only reused CG ship assets in Season 1 were various (modified) shuttles and a CG model of the Enterprise.
The bridge of the Zheng He in the season finale was a redressed Discovery bridge because Frakes was already in Toronto directing a Discovery episode.

They blew it up in 5 seconds into the first episode of season 2

Reusing the sets for season 3 doesn't mean anything
Um...it's a time travel story. Let's not count our chickens before they hatch here.
If season 3 has ship action I'll delete my account
Really? :vulcan:

To quote Yoda (it is Star Wars day after all): "So certain are you? Always looking at what can't be done."

Those are some nice angles for the Excelsior II class. But I wish they hadn’t used the Ross class. It looks far too much like a Galaxy.

Since you have no idea what my expectations are, it’s a little too early to play Nostradamus.

Like Nostradamus, there are people here that think if they say enough things, they'll hit on something.

Same point as the Nebula lookalike. Same concept, only updated a little.

I agree with you in theory, but at least the Sutherland class, when seen up close, has been changed considerably from the Nebula class in terms of detail. The Ross, on the other hand, looks 90% like a Galaxy class. I'm not sure why they didn't just use the Andromeda class rather than the Ross, as the former has the same detail as the Sutherland.
