Starship design history in light of Discovery

Perhaps They are saving the Great Starship Battle for the last few episodes?
i have a feeling that great starship battle will amount to the enterprise swooping in to lend a hand. i know i'm not alone in that expectation.
There was the Hoover class U.S.S. De Milo in the Short Trek about Harry Mudd, but that’s the only one I can think of.
yes, thank you, i forgot about that one. we even got to see the interior, so that's something - as unsatisfying as it was.
They're all being TOS'd with the Enterprise ready to roll out in late season 2/early season 3 looking how they should.
aw wishful thinking.

actually, i'm not even sure i want to see the discovery fleet brought into line with TOS. i kind of like how distinct the designs are, even if a ton of them are hideous.

I don't think I'm going to have a problem with seeing a mixture of classic TOS-style and DSC-styled Starfleet ships hanging around in this series over the next few years.

We are going to see several S-31 ships and at least one Klingon D7 in the next episode.
Highly likely.

The end ship battle could go one of two ways, if Control only has Lelands ship then it could end up being just Discovery plus one other ship against it, the Enterprise or a D7 most likely.

If on the other hand we see a large number of S31 ships under enemy AI command then it could be the Discovery, Enterprise and the Klingons against S31 in a big fleet battle.

It really depends on how much budget they had left over for the finale.

They can go big or keep it to just a few ships.

Has any star ship fired a single phaser this season?

Discovery has fired torpedoes, but that's it.

Maybe they were saving the budget for the second half.

It doesn't need a giant ship battle to be climatic.
that's not what i was saying. but still, as a change from last season's less than adrenaline-pumping finale, i expect they'll take the action up a few notches. and (as has been speculated here before), they're clearly saving the enterprise for something.

At this point I'm completely at peace with this theoretical scenario.

I will be curious how they use the Enterprise.

Only got one angle on the D7, disappointing
I also really dislike the nacelles.

Very much inspired by the K'T'inga, especially with those iimpulse engines.

Sucks they're in such bad lighting, we probably won't get our first real look until Eaglemoss does something.

The design is nearly identical to the K't'inga from the front.

It doesn't appear to have a bridge window, unless that's what the red stripe of lights on the top dome is, but that's also on the K't'inga in TMP.

Almost every Klingon bridge we've seen has been lit in red.

In retrospect, I WISH that would have happened going forward...
