I love McKay, though I've learned the hard way acting like McKay is a good way to piss people off and get punched. To me the McKay alone is worth watching the series. He is one of my top 10 favorite Sci-Fi characters.

I've seen a lot of the episodes from all three live-action series but not all of it.
Imho, it became too contrived in later years that Ta'uri became the premier intergalactic power while keeping most people of Earth completely unawares.
Eaglemoss has is releasing ship models, beginning with the Battlestar Daedalus and the Goa'uld Ha'tak. I already have the latter and am really hoping for the Beliskner/Bilisknir, O'Neill and Daniel Jackson classes. The Asgard have been a fantastic creation by the Stargate franchise, and the puppetry still looks okay by contemporary standards.
Wasn't there meant to be a new sequel to the original movie?
Yes. His interactions with Shepard are top notch and hilarious.also wasnt Jason Mamoa part of the cast in Stargate Atlantis?
It does, yes, but it was also made way different than the rest of the show, since it was originally produced for HBO and intended to be a bit more intense than what the show ended up being. So, the different feel is unsurprising. The production team went back and reedited that two parter in to one full length film style pilot, including Christopher Judge dubbing his lines to sound in line with Teal'c as a character.well technically in my opinion, the first episode of SG1 feels like the sequel anyway. It even has the return of the skaara actor.
Kowalski i loved.
also wasnt Jason Mamoa part of the cast in Stargate Atlantis?
and didnt Stargate Universe have Robert Carlyle and one of those chubby guy actors like Jonah Hill or something?
"200" was high-lar-ious! I have a still photo of them in the Wizard of Oz outfits.I love SG1 and the spin offs. It went a bit off the boil towards the end. But them's the ravages of time.
I blumming love 200.
And it has possibly the best time loop episode of any TV series.
It's been a long while since I watched any of it.
Also hasn't been a "chubby guy actor" for quite a while, which is an object lesson about typecasting.David Blue was actor playing Eli Wallace. Great character... met him at DragonCon years ago. Really cool guy.
That reminds me, I am really disappointed that out of all the various crossovers we had between SG-1 and Atlantis, including McKay's pre-Atlantis appearances on SG-1, we never once got a scene where Teal'c and McKay interact. That would be so awesome.I was a fan of McKay from his very first Stargate episode. The one where Tea'c is stuck in the wormhole and they got 48 hours to save him.
Holy shit! That guy is ripped! I mean seriously. Even with the name right there, my mind is having trouble comprehending the fact that he used to be Eli on SGU.Also hasn't been a "chubby guy actor" for quite a while, which is an object lesson about typecasting.

YupWhen I watch Stargate my ending is season 8. If I even make it that far. All the major villains are beat. The main characters go fishing in the last scene. Perfect ending. Hell, three episodes in a row you could end on.
