So I'm sitting at my desk looking at my staple remover and it dawns on me that this looks like Slave 1... So I draw it as a later incarnation. WTH? It looks okay for a first draft.

Any thoughts?

Seems like some sort of 1 or 2 person sand skiff type vehicle that could have been used near Jabba's barge in ROTJ?

I've taken some time to flesh out some more of it... It's been so long since I've drawn things out like this... I miss it

I'm actually envisioning a hull that closes down a little just like the staple remover, in battle, to help protect the aft entrance and guts. More sketches to come. Hopefully with colour!

Thanks... Do you think the top back is a little too top heavy?

I came up with an evolution to the cockpit. On the originals, they rotate to re-orientate from landing mode to flight level.

I thought the next step would be something less static. A ball essentially. It faces aft for easier entry into the seat, rotates forward as needed for landing/ take off, and then re-orientates itself for flight. Maybe a little silly, but I think there's an elegance to it.

I really need some water colour penciles or an art pad for my PC. But sketching at work will have to do for now.
