Star Wars: Why didn't we see any wreckage from the droids in Eps4 - 6?

Are droidekas Polish? The name sounds a little Polish to me. Did Lucas say anything about where droidekas come from? Was it Poland?

^ Are you being serious? This is why this thread is ridiculous.

first i want to say that i'm a star trek guy, i'm not a big fan of star wars. i enjoy the sci fi elements and the action, but the fantasy is just a huge turn off.

ok, so i asked this question in another thread and nobody seemed to have an answer so i felt the question deserved its own thread. with all those millions and millions of droids we saw in eps 1-3, why didn't we even see just one droid in eps 4-6?

someone mentioned the droids were re-activated in an animated storyline. is that true? i'd love to see some action, even if it was an animated show. what's something i can check out?

wasn't there supposed to be three trilogies? be awesome to see another trilogy. could this perhaps be the big announcement that lucas will be releasing shortly?

We see remnants of droids all the time. In Empire Strikes Back there is a droid headhunter. Jabba's Palace is full of destroyed droids. And then, the battle droids from the prequels never reached Tatooine, Yavin, Dagobah, Hoth or Endor.

man, why do trolls have to come and ruin threads?

Take it easy. Let the mods handle things like this. If you are concerned about someone you perceive to be trolling, then use the notify button. That way all of the mods for the forum can take care of it.

However, that same novel had some groups of Clone Troopers going WTF? at hearing Order 66, so even its limited canonicity may be in question.

Not really, since the current Clone Wars series ( with Lucas involvement ) has featured a clone deserter with a family. The clones in Dark Lord didn't hear the phrase "Order 66" at all, nor did the ones under Cody's command who attempted to destroy Obi-Wan in ROTS.

But I just call it A New Hope

I call it the science fiction remake of kakushi-toride no san-akunin.
