They already have. Beware, this does contain some spoilers for the Legacy comic book series. Temis have you read any of the SW books or comics? Because most of the stuff that you've talked about in this thread and the Clone Wars thread have already been addressed there in some form.Sure, the whole story could be seen as the saga of the Skywalker clan of Force users. And since restoring Anakin to his old self becomes Luke's true quest in the OT, that supports the importance of the whole family to the saga.
But with two members still alive and kicking at the end of ROTJ, the story is far from over. And if you wanna follow their kids' stories, it could go on even further.
I have some novels and graphic novels sitting on my shelf, waiting for me to get around to reading them. (I've almost forgotten about them, I think I bought them a year ago.)

And I agree with the consensus here that time travel seems like some sort of crime against nature when introduced into the Star Wars cosmos. Leave that stuff to Star Trek, which does it so well. hahahaha
In the first place, it opens up all the "so why didn't they do X, Y and Z, and then Sidious would have been defeated before he was born" can of worms. That way lies madness!!!
As I understand it, there's some way that Jedi can see into the past via the Force, and of course get premonitions of the future, although that has proven highly unreliable and maybe they shouldn't do it.
