As fan of Finn I have to say say this is sadly true. Especially in TLJ in which the stereotyping of goofy and cowardly got worse.
It was like seeing g a film in the 80's or 90' s.
They filtered what was accurate on Reddit by confirming it with their own sources. What they confirmed ended up being true.
Placing any bias aside, Midnight's Edge got it right.
These modern Star Wars movie reviews. It’s either ‘you just need to turn off your brain and enjoy it’ or ‘you really need to see it a few times to appreciate everything.’
I didn’t feel the need to turn off my brain. I thought all three were fun to watch.
I’m not saying you need to, just commenting on what other people have said on this board.
Usually to the point of unreason. It's okay to have very high standards for a movie, but then there are people who have a headcanon that must be matched action for action and word for word, and if the film doesn't do this, it's a travesty and mockery of everything sacred.Sometimes, I believe, people hold movies like these to too high of a standard.

Sure, again I’m not agreeing or disagreeing with either position. I just think it’s kinda funny that people are splitting this way and also maybe a little telling.
The only thing it really tells, is that you’ll never make everyone happy. No matter how hard you try.
Except for, clearly, Mustafar.
No.I think in general we probably all take this a little too seriously. Whether it be from being overly critical or having one's own preconceived notions about how we believe events occur or taking other's criticisms of films we enjoy too harshly. I am not perfect and I have certainly had my areas of weakness when it comes to criticisms of these movies too hard. I really don't think its up to us to decide for another individual if a movie is categorically "good" or "bad." We all have our thresholds of quality and I think we all could stand to work a little harder to accept contrary opinions with a little more acceptance.

No, I don’t think so. As much as some people do hold these movies to unacceptably high standards, I think others take any Star Wars and try their best to like it simply because they love the franchise. So you get a lot of either ‘it’s too complicated’ or ‘people are taking it too seriously’, which are both handy little lines that somewhat sidestep whether or not the movie was actually good. And they do so in wildly dissimilar ways.
