Video games are interactive media. Not visual. You play them. You don't watch them.
(I suppose I could have used "cinema," but people often infer that to just mean movies.)
Solo, however, is absolutely a Skywalker Saga Legacy film. He's married to one and has a kid with her. Even if you argue that the film takes place before he ever meets a Skywalker and while he's in love with another woman, the film still includes two other characters from the OT and it ends with him flying off to Tatooine.
And I think "legacy' is a more fitting word. Because, yes, a week from now the Skywalker Saga is done. Finie. Kaput. And, no, I don't actually think there'll be an Episode X any time soon. (Unless IX breaks three billion.) But that doesn't mean Disney won't go on invoking the Skywalker Legacy within future projects any chance it gets.
And I'm not even going dignify Ewok movies with a response.
Also, the Star Trek equivalency is the wrong one. The real analog the Enterprise. Star Trek has never existed without it. Even Voyager had several Enterprise crew members appear - with two flying ships of the same class as former Enterprises. Even still, both Voyager and DS9 aired while the TNG films were running. The Enterprise has remained a constant presence. And even if Picard never sees the Enterprise-F, he's still Picard. And still, even if there are no Enterprises in the 32nd Century, and Georgiou's Section 31 never steps foot on one, and the Lower Decks kids never make it out of their Jefferies Tubes, there are new Kelvin films on the horizon and there's probably going to be some kind of Pike thing. The Enterprise's presence will always be there.
The presence of the Skywalker Legacy will always be there. And even if Mando or Cassian never bump into Luke or Leia or Vader or whatever, the Obi-Wan thing is still on the horizon.
The whole point is, even if this film completely renounces all things Skywalker in some grand symbolic gesture, Disney is never going to completely and permanently cut itself off from the legacy. And anyone who thinks they'd ever be stupid enough to do that is completely kidding themselves.
