I think we ALL KNOW what Finn wanted to say........but came to terms with her not feeling the same.

This may have already been answered in the dozens of pages of this thread, but I read that in a Q&A after a screening, the filmmakers confirmed that what Finn wanted to tell Rey was that he believed he had force sensitivity. This actually tracks with what I was thinking during the movie - I figured it was about having the force rather than romantic feelings.

So, who are the Jedi voices Rey hears when she let's them "join" her? The obvious ones are Luke, Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Leia, but there were several others. Did we hear Qui-Gon? Anyone from the animated series? Anakin? I feel not bring back Hayden Christensen was a slightly missed opportunity. He doesn't have to be a good actor to stand as a Force ghost next to Luke and Leia in the final scene.

Same here. Despite the spectacle of THE PT duels, they lack a sense of danger or effort. I prefer the OT style.

Don't get me wrong I still love the prequel duels, especially TPM, but there's something a bit more realistic about the duels in TFA and TROS. It's mainly advances in technology, camerawork and sound really. I don't think the choreography is particularly better.

So I'm not sure what's worse; that the people making this film didn't realise that they were telling the racist sexist manbabies that they were right all along, or that they did know and did it anyway.

I can't imagine what it was like for Kelly Marie Tan reading the script and seeing she was turned into a glorified extra.

But hey, Han got to say "I know" again, Chewie finally got his god-damned medal and Wedge turned up for .75 of a second. And isn't that what Star Wars is really about....

I thought that planet could have been Coruscant, but they didn't specifically say that it was. So I guess we'll never know.

The Coruscant-esque planet was based off of concept art of Alderaan from between the OT and PT.

It probably wasn't Alderaan, tbh.

Thought of a better script idea.. one without papa palpatine..
Use the Dark Fleet storyline from the books.. when that Star Destroyer fleet was in the trailers.. I hoped that it would be that..

Basically.. the First order is in charge, the Resistance is in hiding, hear a tail of a fleet that is autoomated and they go searching for it with General Hugs in pursuit. you can still have Rey and Ren going back and forth.. but no need for Papa Palps and all the sith crap that was never hinted at in the other movies..

Anyways.. Time for that Thrawn movie with Ezra and Ashoka!

So what you're saying is that white men are the most powerful, purest form of humanity, that they are better than all other races or genders and to suggest otherwise is insulting and wrong

There's a phrase for that sort of belief......hmmmm

What Disney will learn from this is that Star Wars fans are primarily fragile white males. The next Skywalker will be a white male. Minorities and women will be kept in their “proper” places for the next go round.

Having a Male lead (of any race) during the next set of films is likely. Feminist Star Wars was an interesting experiment, but it ultimately didn't yield the intended results.



The female box office turnout for TROS was quite low compared to men. Marvel had Male leads for a decade, and yet managed to get a fairly balanced audience gender split for most of their films. It goes to show that audiences will always turn out for engaging characters and story. Diversity without those elements leads to a hollow experience. Hollywood is still slowly learning this.

It shows audiences will show up for something primarily white and male. I've found most of the recent Marvel stuff pretty unwatchable. Bland, safe material that doesn't upset anyone.
