To me it makes more sense that her vision was directly connected to her; flashing to her father and grandfather at Cloud City, seeing her father's anguish at the Academy Massacre, a Knight of Ren almost killing her at the same event but getting saved by Kylo, Kylo dropping her off on Jakku...
But I can accept a secondary explanation of the vision showing her things that will come to be important to her; Luke, Kylo, and accepting the need to let go of her parents coming back for her on Jakku.
There's also the fact that Kylo sees she dreams about Luke's Island. Why would she dream about that if he wasn't her father? Just because because he would become an important mentor to her in the future? To be fair, when Luke arrives at Dagobah he says it feels familiar like something in a dream. (Obviously at that point in the development process, Baby Luke was supposed to have been on Dagobah at some point, and their mother was supposed to be alive since Leia remembers her in ROTJ)
