As I stated above, I believe it is generally accepted by most fans that the Clone Wars concluded at the start of Revenge of the Sith.
Are you kidding me?
From various points later in the film:
OBI-WAN: In short, they are going very well. Saleucami has fallen, and Master Vos has moved his troops to Boz Pity.
Kl-ADI-MUNDI: We have surveyed all systems in the Republic, and have found no sign of General Grievous.
YODA: Hiding in the Outer Rim, Grievous is. The outlying systems, you must sweep.
OBI-WAN: It may take some time... we do not have many ships to spare.
MACE: It is settled then. Yoda will take a battalion of clones to reinforce the Wookiees on Kashyyyk.
OBI-WAN:
We are at war, Anakin.
PADME: Anakin,
this war represents a failure to listen... Now you're closer to the Chancellor than anyone. Please, ask him to
stop the fighting and let diplomacy resume.
ANAKIN:
At last, we'll be able to capture that monster and end this war.
YODA: The capture of General Grievous will
end this war.
TlON MEDON: Greetings, young Jedi. What brings you to our remote sanctuary?
OBI-WAN:
Unfortunately, the war.
I don't know who these "most fans" are that somehow missed all that dialogue, but we see during the Kashyyyk and order 66 sequences that the war is still in progress.
The Clone Wars end when Anakin ( or whoever, in the novel it was the Separatist leadership ) sends the signal from Mustafar to shut down the droids.
