Star Wars The Essential Guide to Warfare by Jason Fry

The book is out. It is possible Amazon has sold out of them again which they seemed to be when I first attempted to order the book. I had to wait a week or so before more stock came in. These seem to be selling fast.

Don't know if this has been posted or not, but these are Jason Fry's Endnotes for the book. This is part one, there are links for each part in the article.

While in the magnificent Hodges Figgis bookshop in Dublin yesterday, my other-halfs dad offered to buy us both a book, because I was flicking through The Essential Guide to Warfare, I got that.

May I say it's brilliant. I've not read much of it, I've read some of the "essays" including that of how Palps completely manipulated everyone when creating the Empire and the service record of Han in the Imperial Navy and thought they were very well written.

My only major (and possibly petty) gripe really is the depiction of the Anakin Solo while bombarding Kashyyyk. From what I remember in Legacy of the Force, she is meant to be matte black and have a large cloaking device visible and the domes of an Interdictor generator. In the painting, she just looks like a bog standard Victory Class Star Destroyer.

All in all, it's a very good book.

John Jackson Miller has a hardcover!!!? Awesome!

(I really must get around to reading Knight Errant.)
