Star Wars: The Clone Wars S4

okay that's cool my bad. I am so ready for the series to start. I may do a rewatch before series 4 begins.

I think Teletoon here in Canada does a marathon of the previous season on the day of the premiere. It is how I watched season two last year. Looking forward to it as well.

I thought vergere was a clone wars era jedi?
Vergere was a Jedi from the era of the Clone Wars, sure, but in the sense that the Clone Wars was the most significant incident in galactic history around the time she lived, rather than in the sense that she was active as a Jedi during the war. She actually disappeared about two years after the events of The Phantom Menace, while tasked by the Jedi Council with investigating Zonama Sekot. Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Solo would, a year later, follow in some of her footsteps in Greg Bear's Rogue Planet.

Vergere may not have even considered herself a Jedi by the time she disappeared, because she had briefly apprenticed herself to Darth Sidious before returning to the Order for that final mission. She also had strong disagreements with Jedi philosophy, which in turn were only shaped even more by her time as Sidious's apprentice and attempted assassin, as well as the decades she would spend with the Yuuzhan Vong before their overt, concerted invasion in 25 ABY.

Once again though we've turned this into a general Star Wars discussion thread.

Which there is nothing wrong with what so ever. Remember, threads are fluid, they change and given what little information there is concerning season four of Clone Wars, is it any wonder.

So if this is a general Star Wars thread now, what's the general take on Fate of the Jedi? I've just started Outcast and so far, I'm liking it.

I don't know if it's a general take, but if you read a good deal of the opinions over at TheForce.Net about FOTJ, they aren't good. I've read the first seven books. I intend to complete the series.

My thoughts are that FOTJ as a whole is a bit muddled. There are too many subplots. A major subplot develops around about book four or five that really should have been the focus of a separate series of books and though it drives the action in some respects for subsequent books I don't feel the writers can do it adequate justice bringing it in so late in the game. I think there's some good in the series and some not-so-good (but that not-so-good could be turned around fairly easily). In comparison to Legacy of the Force, I don't think FOTJ seems as tightly plotted. It does add some potentially cool things to the Star Wars Expanded Universe though.

when it concerns star wars oh yeah. and speaking of my favorite thing in the world G4's proving ground is doing a star wars episode tonight.

Hey, that's just four days after my birthday!

Good for you. You'll have to fill me (and I assume others ) in on the relevance of that, unless it's a land mark birthday, like your 16th or such.

No, 24th. I just thought it was cool that it was coming out close to my birthday.

^ Yeah obviously Dimesdan disagrees with you...it's okay. It is always fun having something close to your birthday to look forward to.

^Not only that but Thor comes out the day after it, so that's gonna be a very fun week for me.

I'm sure something good will be happening around my b-day but Feb is too far away to be thinking about now.

Instead, here is a tidbit to pass the time till Sept 16. This is what Artoo gets for having a crunchy nougat filling:

Please don't assume what I mean Young, you'd be wrong anyway.

Yes it's cool for things like that to occur on or around birthdays, hell, my 18th saw the beginning of a long, possibly fruitless war which when it's over, all the men and women lost in the last ten years will mean bugger all and the men the "coalition of the willing" ousted and tried to keep out will probably be back in charge with in months.

And JD, I got the impression you were much younger and in your mid to late teens.
