Star Wars: The Clone Wars S4

They're doing the half hour format to match kids' attention spans. That's okay by me, I can use a DVR to reformat it for my adult attention span. ;)

the show has been fantastic all the way through and this fourth season will be no different. I personally hope for a second animated movie on the big screen. looking forward to season 3 on blu ray.

There has been a little bit of discussion about a second movie but I seriously doubt that it will happen at this point. Maybe we'll get another film after the series concludes.

^Yeah, I could easily see them doing a second movie for the end of the series. They started with a movie, so why not finish that way too?

They should just re-do ROTS, but from Ahsoka's perspective. This time around, the same events will work much better story-wise, now that they've completely changed Anakin and his motivation.

But they need to fix certain impressions we've gotten, such as Anakin's total cluelessness about the nature of the dark side. He's got no excuse now for naivete, but I can see him jumping rather than falling to the dark side, as being the smartest and most practical solution to everything imploding around him.

Palps shouldn't need to manipulate him a bit. In fact, Palps is now not even all that necessary (though for his sake, let's let him think it was all his idea). :rommie:

Don't get your hopes up, Temis! As much as I'd like the PT fixed too, I don't think it's in the cards, beyond the remote possibility of some minor retconning.

But I do think it would be cool to lead right into the opening battle of ROTS, as was mentioned by someone in the S3 thread, IIFC. Say, end the series with Anakin and Obi-wan getting into their fighters to rescue Palpatine, and maybe even flying out into the battle.

^ I can see them doing a direct lead into ROTS but yeah as mentioned before there is not gonna be any "redoing" of ROTS.

That's pretty much how the Clone Wars micro-series ended, with Obi-Wan and Anakin on the bridge of a cruiser headed back to Coruscant after receiving orders to rescue Palpatine.

^ Yep. I've always thought that the Clone Wars would do their own version of this or if they don't want to counteract that do something that leads into that episode. Contrary to what fans have thought they've not totally ignored the micro-series and have attempted to be very considerate of it.

^ I'm with you there. When I recently decided it was time to finally get caught up on TCW, I first re-watched the micro-series before jumping back into TCW. I find the two to be very complementary for the most part. Most of the first season (including possibly some of the second) can even be considered easily as leading into TCW, especially since Anakin is Knighted in the micro-series but already a Knight as TCW begins.

Yes, Anakin got his facial scar after his very first fight with Ventress which I believe was shown in season one of the micro-series. Lucas always intended the micro-series to act as a direct lead into "Revenge of the Sith" and it was promoted as such. General Grevious was also introduced in the micro-series.

As I said earlier there is no specific date yet, and one could always google to see if there is one. It's airing in Oct. We've known that since the end of season three.

Anakin was not scarred in his fight with Ventress in the micro-series. It happened in the comic Dreadnaughts of Rendili.

In fact, they've ripped off ideas from it.
