With the majority of the droid armies deactivated, their leadership killed, and the reorganization of the Republic into the Galactic Empire (and the framing of the Jedi as being the root cause of the corruption that lead to the war) the Seperatists would likely have been rolled over by the Empire, or willing joined if their reasons for leaving the Republic were satisfied by the absolute dictator that was Palpatine.

There were of course Seperatist holdouts. Those would be used as the excuse to expand the Stormtrooper corps and the Imperial Navy. They would mostly be crushed within the first decade. Its remains likely absorbed into the Rebel Alliance on its founding (likely later this year in Rebels).

In that clip, Rex mentioning Cody has me wondering if we'll ever learn his fate after the Clone Wars or even at this point in the timeline. After all, he was a good guy from Clone Wars who we know did end up "betraying" his Jedi in Order 66. I wonder, does he now answer directly to Vader? Somehow I consider it kind of ironic if Obi-Wan's former Clone commander was working with Vader while Anakin's own Clone commander is now fighting against him.

One would assume Cody became an instructor at one of the academies instead of retiring. As far as we know, all the remaining clone have been decommissioned from Imperial front line service. That or he runs the Clone Veterans Administration or the equivalent of it.

I do wonder if we'll see Cody again, if only to see first hand what happened to the majority of the surviving clones. From the way Wolffe behaved I wonder if he actually carried out Order 66 and only got his chip removed after the fact. Perhaps the chip has some long term effects that make the clones less effective after it's activated?

In the recent Ahsoka novel (don't worry, not a spoiler) the clones were already being mostly phased out in favour of the new Stormtroopers by the first Empire Day.

Obviously. But this one has the same pattern as that one and it's on Angmar, which is where Dooku sent it after Onderon.

The geonosisns were brought to near extinction

I think that had more to do with covering up a certain ultra top secret weapons project than post-war Imperial policy.

They also damn near wiped out Lasan, though I don't think they've ever explained exactly why. I'm assuming they openly rebelled, but it's possible they were a separatist world (though you'd think that would have come up by now between Zeb & Rex.)
On the other hand, Kashyykk was definitely a Republic loyalist world and yet the Empire enslaved the Wookiees practically on day one.

I love Cato Neimoidia in Force Unleashed 2, all the adverts of Neimoidians saying 'we have made up for what we did during the Clone Wars' Obviously it sounds coerced.

^Even though there were a lot of backroom deals going on with the Banking Clan and the Trade Federation*, Cato Neimoidia itself wasn't a Separatist world. Indeed the Separatists invaded the planet late in season 5, which is presumably what Plo Koon was doing there in RotS.

When the Republic had transformed into the Empire it didn't matter anymore if a planet was previously a Republic or Separatist world. All that mattered was if it was totally loyal to the Emperor or not.

Well TFU2 I think came out before those episodes of Clone Wars. Plus it isn't canon anymore so, mute point lol

Yeah it's a common misconception that the Neimoidians and the Trade Federation were both synonymous with one another and one of the Separatist worlds. I think it stems from misunderstanding the nature of that meeting Kenobi witnessed on Geonosis. Many took as the founding of the Separatists where really it was a deal between the Separatist parliament (represented by Dooku) and the commerce guilds who were officially neutral but agreed to sell them weapons and droids.

There's actually a Vader comic set right after ANH which shows it wasn't *quite* a full extinction, but pretty much as good as. Certainly beyond any point of recovery anyway.

I wonder if the Rebels will salvage any Separatist ships for the fleet.

In the old EU they had a couple, their flag ship shortly before the Battle of Yavin was a modified Providence Class.

There was Clone Wars music through out the episode and the end credits music was from Clone Wars. I love it. Kalani survived, so we may see him again.

Old clankers. Old Clone. Young Rebels....and the Empire. Still a ways to go before we get to the Rebel Alliance.

But there is a chance what remains of the Separatist forces will join the new Alliance once they have more than just Hope.

^I doubt there's much in the way of Seperatist equipment left at this point, as most of it was probably salvaged or scrapped pretty soon after the shut-down command. Forgotten wrecks that haven't already been picked over like the one on Agamar are going to be rare and not terribly fruitful.

As for the non-droid Separatist forces, I get the impression most of them were just local militias defending their respective homeworlds, as such I don't think they were ever truly a unified force in that sense. Of course I've no doubt that by the end of it, there were just as many clone wars vets in the Rebel Alliance that fought for the Separatists as for the Republic.

Indeed, the centrist/populist schism in the New Republic indicates that a lot of those old political lines still exist, albeit with some key pieces switching sides.

I wouldn't expect much. A ship or two (mostly refitted for living beings rather than droids), a small number of droid troops, and not much else. Of course it also depends on scale. Galaxy wide the Rebels might have a lot of ships and troops, just it can't easily be gathered lets it be destroyed easily by the Empire. At least early on. They could have a bunch of old Separatist and Republic ships left over from the Clone Wars scattered between all the various Rebel cells. A few frigates, a light destroyer here and there, a battleship or two. Maybe even on old Trade Federation Droid Control Ship.

Saw Gerrera was fighting against the Separatist on a Separatist planet with help of both the Republic and some of the Separatist idealist faction that didn't want a war, but wanted out of the Republic.

I had a grin on my face for the entire episode. Such a wonderful idea for a standalone episode, particularly with the topper of them working together against the Empire. I loved that.

An interesting acknowledgement of the Jedi's skill at deflecting blaster bolts compared with the abilities of the old B1 battle droids to hit anything accurately.

Also Destroyer droids are still really good, if properly maintained.

Also I was reminding of something from a long, long time ago. "Bambi meets Godzilla".
