As much as avoiding the crowds might be appealing to me, I'm probably going to see it as soon as possible. It's all anybody is going to be talking about, and I don't want have to avoid all the conversations.
I just like hearing all the conversations from people who aren't properly informed/keep up to date with SW news
"The guy that directed this directed LOST too"
or the know-it-alls"
"It's J.J Abrams. Where's all the lens flares?"
Tell them it was the same guy who rebooted Trek and you'll have enough people for a riot. Especially if the movie turns out to be shit.
so is there some crazy rumor about Disney releasing the original versions of the OT?
*facepalm*AOTC and ROTS are disqualified from 4k, as the live-action elements were shot using first-generation digital cameras that went up to 1080p and no higher.
Lucas ain't in charge anymore. Disney knows how much the fans want this. Fox will have no problem striking a profit-sharing deal. It's gonna happen. It's a matter of when, not if.
I'm confused. Thirty year old film stock looks better in 4K than ten year old CGI?

--funny video--Just be glad it wasn't Wilford Brimley in the role of Qui-Gon.
Jediabitis.

There are people out there already expecting it to be so, and that Abrams will just "ruin" another franchise.
Regardless of box office numbers, I think the film will be a lot of fun![]()

John Landis said something about it yesterday, according to Empire magazine.
I'm instantly skeptical. First, why would Landis know? And second, Disney and Fox would have to come to some sort of agreement on the original film, and that doesn't seem likely.
No they are still awful since you have the script by OrcMan. The story just loses even further coherence once removed from the context of Star Trek.

Yeah, you're right. I was just trying to say something nice.
They were awful.
I hope this movie isn't.

Meh, I thought they were good. Then again I actually bothered to watch the show it was based on aka TOS NOT TNG.
