Nemesis is a movie that barely anyone has even seen, let alone liked. Theater chains were literally passing on it, IIRC.
Whoa. I didn't know that. Harsh.
I didn't see it when it premiered because I was a 14-year-old street urchin at the time (no, seriously) but I very much wanted to. Was a Trek fan from childhood, but I just had no way of catching this "live." I had no idea I might not have even been able to find the damn movie even if I had the cash, though...
As for TFA, I was also a Wars fan practically from birth, so this movie is just as big a deal for me as anyone else here. I hope Abrams and Kasdan give all the old stars just desserts, but I'll take a lean helping for each of them over the new generation of characters feeling underdeveloped. It's a tall order, getting this blend just right, and as much as the names Luke, Han, and Leia mean to me, I think it's twice as imperative Rey, Finn, and Poe win our hearts.
You can't be wrong with an opinion. I mean, its not like its my favorite. TWoK, TSfS, TVH, TUC, Generations, FC, and STID are all much better (well, Generations is only a little better). I just don't think Nemesis is terrible, and its not the worst ST film out there in my opinion.
If it hadn't jumped the shark already, it just did. It really lost its voice, there.
