They acted like Ion Cannon tech was something new. I wonder how that jibes with EU? Do I even care?
While ion weaponry has existed for some time (I believe there are very early prototypes as far back as Tales of the Jedi) this is certainly the first time we've seen an ion wave of this magnitude.

"Our cruisers can't repel fire power of that magnitude..." - Adm. Ackbar

I wonder if they toned down the voices and antics a little if they couldn't make something with a little more crossover appeal with the "I'm not the target demographic" crowd. What's up with that anyway? Do people actually like aligning themselves with advertising targets?

I thought that both episodes were both really good. Echoing much of what has already been posted here so far, the characterization, particularly of Yoda, was well done and the show definitely looks like it is not afraid to be bold and showcase the horrors of war.
I really like the fact too that they explored how the Clones are perceived (or how they might perceive themselves) to be as expendable as the droids of the Separatist Army and that the Jedi (or at least some of them) view each of them as having worth as individuals within the force.
I liked how they utilized John William's "Yoda's Theme" in the first episode while Yoda was mentoring his clone troopers.
I hope other episodes keep up the quality of these first two entries but, if clips of future episodes are any indication, it appears that they will.
