Episode 1:

Ambush:
Yoda is ambushed by Count Dooku while on a mission to strike a deal with the king of Toydaria in the premiere episode of this series.

Episode 2:

Rising Malevolence:
Anakin and Ahsoka go on a mission to rescue Plo Kloon, who is endangered by a mystery weapon created by the Separatists.

I wnjoyed the episodes. A lot of non stop fighting people expected but each show did have a point. The shows were slightly better than the film. The opening summary method worked better on TV than going to the film.

Most surprising: seeing dudes get sucked into space.

Venress needs to kick more ass. She seemed mean but out of her league

A ton of fun and much better than the movie. I know the battle droids are stupid but they do make me laugh. "Get out of my way, I'm malfunctioning!"

I was impressed by the Plo Koon episode because we know very little about him, even from the EU, and I think they characterized him well. I'd like to see more of him than Anakin. Yoda was captured very well, too, I thought.

All in all, I'm really happy and it exceeded my expectations. I'm really going to love having some Star Wars every week!

Both of the episodes were a lot better than I was expecting. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I heard it was pretty bad. To be honest, I liked the characterization of Anakin and Yoda so far in this series better than I liked them in the movies. Anakin was far more mature than he was in the movies, while still maintaining that rebellious streak. There were a few moments there where Yoda reminded me of his TESB self, particularly when he chuckled after commenting on their superiority over the droids. He was also a lot more of the mentor that he was in the OT.

I didn't like the second episode quite as much, but it was still enjoyable. That new padawan was okay, but I see the possibility for her to become quickly tiresome. But then I generally don't care for these younger characters that much.

The animation was better looking than I expected, but also odd. The style reflected the Clone Wars cartoon, but the still had quite a bit of detail to it. It looked really good in HD. I would have preferred a more realistic look overall if they were going to use CGI, though.

I really enjoyed both episodes. I liked the movie but think that CW functions better as a half-hour show. The animation has gotten even better too.

Yoda's characterization was excellent. We see the wise teacher from ESB and the warrior from the prequels. The clones are well-written characters and even the droids are funny. We didn't lose much with Corey Burton taking over for Christopher Lee because he does a terrific Dooku.

Ep 2 featured some great action and was in the vain of ESB. Anakin's portrayel was spot on here and I enjoyed our first real look at Plo Koon. I have to give them credit...they didn't hold back with the violence. Let's just say the days when GI Joe and Cobra would jump out of a falling plane with a parachute are over. The droids cutting the clones out of the escape pod was pretty hardcore. I'd say they were sadistically gleefull.

I thought both episodes were pretty good. Lots of good action, with some equally enjoyable character moments tossed in there too. I have to admit, the battle droids actually weren't as annoying as the review I read on IGN made them sound. I haven't seen the movie, so this was my first experience with Ahsoka, and I like her, she's definitely a good match for Anakin. I also really enjoyed getting to finally hear Plo Koon, speak, the voice was just what I pictured.

Darn it, I missed the premiere, and was supposed to tape it for my kids.

Does anyone know if CN repeats the episodes at all later in the week?

(And no, viewing it through "other means" online is not an option for me in this particular case, I really want to know if they will be repeated on TV anytime later in the week.)

I thoroughly enjoyed both episodes and rated them both as above average. They were a pleasant surprise and a definite improvement over the movie.

I loved the mix of badass Prequel Yoda with philosophical yet comic TESB Yoda, and he actually had a genuinely moving discussion with the clones about how they're unique beings within the Force. Then when he went from sitting and meditating in the path of the droid tanks to busting out Tasmanian Devil mode and destroying the tanks and droids, that was awesome.

I like how both episodes gave us some good insights on how the clones view themselves (as not being unique individuals and being considered expendable) and then showed that the Jedi are trying to get them to rise above those feelings and consider themselves worthwhile people in their own right.

The droids were annoying and overly slapstick as usual, but they did manage to have a couple of funny moments.

The second episode featured some really violent and brutal moments, so it's good to see that they're not pulling any punches.

I like how mature, non-whiny, and intelligent Anakin is written in this show, and it's how I wish Anakin would have been in the movies. I also think he and Ashoka make a great team, and complement each other well. I didn't find her particularly annoying in the movie, but I know others did, and I think they really toned that down and made her a little more mature herself, while still taking on the role of inexperienced Padawan challenging her master as you would expect.

Master Plo Koon gets some good development as well, and Grievous is treated intelligently and not over the top.

The action in both episodes was very exciting, and the graphics seem much improved over the film.

All in all, I enjoyed it a great deal and will defnitely tune in again next week.

Assaj Ventress was totaly pwned by Yoda.

I liked 2-1B.

They acted like Ion Cannon tech was something new. I wonder how that jibes with EU? Do I even care?

While ion weaponry has existed for some time (I believe there are very early prototypes as far back as Tales of the Jedi) this is certainly the first time we've seen an ion wave of this magnitude.

Replay tomorrow (Sunday) at 9pm.

On the episodes themselves, I mostly enjoyed them. No where near perfect, but not the horror show I was half-expecting.

The one touch I like based on the 2 episodes shown..is the relationship between the Jedi's and the Clone troopers assign to them..both Yoda and Plo Kloon expressed real friendship for them..where others treat them as expendable they care about them..which makes the events in episode 3 have more of a impact.

I've always been impressed with how the clones have been portrayed in the EU. They are some of the more intriguing characters and I think the series will really give them a chance to portray that.

My son is watching the taped episodes right now. I'll ask him for a grade when he's done.

Doesn't interest me. None of the prequel stuff does.

That was always something that I liked. If you read the novelization of Episode III and the Darth Vader novel about Vader's trying to purge the last of the Jedi you get a real feel for how close the Jedi are to the Clone Troopers. Commander Cody was said, in the novel, to be regretful that he had to kill Obi-Wan.

I greatly enjoyed both episodes; I liked the movie but I'd say these two episodes were less embarrassing. The droid dialog still needs to go though :p

I loved seeing Yoda in a starring role. My favorite character. I particularly enjoyed the scene of him bonding with the clones.

I too knew nothing about Plo Koon but he was alright. The Separatist dreadnought ion cannon super ship was really creepy looking.

It's unfortunate that the movie was so comparably infantile as it will probably turn away vast numbers of picky fans from the tv show, which from interviews I've read will quickly improve vastly in the writing as the episodes go on. I mean remember, all sci-fi shows suck in their first season, look at Babylon 5!

^It's the Clone Wars animated series that got a introduction in theatres this summer
