I'll be honest with everyone. From what I'm hearing from the Ridley Scott fanboi crowd over at AICN, Prometheus is going to set the bar pretty high for Trek the following year. This thing blows away Cameron's Avatar, apparently, as an introduction to how things came to be in the Alien Universe.

Give Ridley Scott money and a camera, and you have a potential for gold standard film-making.

I am getting excited about Prometheus as well. But I dont think it will beat Star Trek 2 under any circumstances.
