Star Trek Voyager Desktop Wallpapers

It's rock star Alice Cooper! :)
OK. I don't know him but he looks ugly.
Anyway, talking about ugly, here's a wallpaper for you :

Nice! :)

And I must agree on the Chakotay quote since I just wrote some not so nice comments about Braga, Fuller and M. Taylor on another forum on the TrekBBS.

Hello Lynx, Trix, stardream,
Thanks for your replies.
Lynx, why the hate? You can't change things now ... You're only making your own life difficult, I think. Sorry, I'm not preaching here ... just trying to help.
Lynx, stardream: Am I supposed to know this Alice Cooper? Is he American?
Trix, I'm glad you like the wallpaper. There are a lot more to come for Alice.

But for the time being here's Mr. Beautiful for you (and for everyone else) from CARETAKER. Look at those eyes ...

No, you don't need to know him. It was just a bit weird to read through the thread and see that!
I think Lynx was in a bit of weird mood that day. ;)
Oh, OK, thanks. I've read the first part of his life on Wikipedia - he is supposed to be famous after all. But it seems that neither his personality nor his music is particularly appealing to me so that explains why I'd never heard of him before.
BTW, I would never have guessed that in the English language Alice can also be a man's name.

Hate is too strong word. I don't hate those in charge.
Strong dislike is more appropriate. But I would really want to sit down with these people and have a decent conversation with them about this subject, just asking them "why"?

As for bringing up Alice Cooper, that was just my weird sense of humor. I get such attacks from time to time.

Just look at the bottom of this thread about a horrible subject in which I found another rock music reference and actually did two attempts to lighten up a thread about something really awful:

http://www.trekbbs.com/threads/could-fury-have-worked-with-a-rewrite.229402/page-19

As for Alice, everytime I hear and see the name "Alice", I always think of Alice Cooper.

And if you got an answer to your question? That would change nothing now. Twenty years have gone by, the show ended a long time ago and nothing about it can be changed any more.
If you can't let go of your "strong dislike", I think you're only doing yourself a disservice.

But I don't want to alienate you from my thread - so end of rant.
In fact, here's something for you that I hope will soothe your angler a little. BTW, YOUR favourite character is flanked by MY two favourite characters in this wallpaper. Isn't this an occasion to celebrate?

Great job, Thomas! (But I will just call him Mr Paris and call Janeway "Captain Beautiful" and Kes "Nurse Hottie"). :D Really enjoying these - I was telling Drone they'd also look great on Voyager lunch boxes!

Alice is a female name. Occasionally there is a guy so tough he can have a little girl's name and no one will think less of him for it. Alice Cooper is just such a rare personage.

Yes, from one of my favorite episodes!

As for our little debate, it takes more than that to alienate me from a thread. There was a time when I was really fighting with trolls and ended up in a lot of trouble and I'm sure some people still remember me from those days ;).

What we have is simply a cordial exchange of viwes.

Not to mention that I really like the wallpapers! That's worth a celebration.

Thanks, Trix - as always. So I was right about Alice being a female name then. I find it strange for a man to wear a woman's name - but I understand your explanation.
What are Voyager lunch boxes? Never heard of them ...

Good. I'm glad to see you're not alienated, Lynx (where does this name come from?).
And thanks for your kind words - I'm really happy to see that some people like these wallpapers. There are a few more hundreds to come!

Here's LINEAGE for everyone that likes that episode. For me, it's one of Voyager's best stories (although of course, almost all VOY eps are of high quality ):

Great! I look forward to them!

If you wonder about the name "Lynx", it has a long story. This is a bit off topic but here we go:

I've always had a certain fascination for those "Nordic lions" and when I was a member of a not too succesful rock band, I suggested the name "Lynx" for the band. When the band broke up, I kept the logo which I had designed and the rights to the name.

Some years later, I became a fan of TNG, and then DS9 and Voyager. Before starting to watch Voyager, I became fascinated with the Maquis and wrote a fanfic story about a Maquis crew stranded on a somewhat primitive planet and caught between two nations at war while trying to find a way to repair their damaged ship and escape. I named the ship "Lynx".

Then came Voyager, my fascination for a certain character, the character's "leaving" and all that plus becoming involved in a campaign to bring her back to the series.

Then I decided to change my unfinished Maquis story to a Kes come-back story. I used the ship and the Maquis crew in it but changed the scenario to two worlds at war in the Delta Quadrant, somewhere at the end of season 6 or beginning at season 7 of Voyager.

The final result was the story "Coming Home" which can be found at the Kes Website.

I had also started to post on some forums at that time, forums of which no one exists now. First I used another username but then I canged it to Lynx after the Maquis ship in my story. I also created the Kes Website around that time. First it was just some pages with some pictures but it developed into something completly different. :techman:

Thanks for your answer. I'm happy to see that your Avatar has something to do with Star Trek. And the picture looks great! :adore:
I'm sorry to hear that it was only a short-lived band - better luck next time. But you obviously have a talent for singing, which is great news.
(I also love singing but in contrast to you - and similarly to Neelix - I like to restrict this activity to the bathroom, :guffaw:!)

When using two colours, red and blue is by far my favourite combination. You will find that quite a few of my wallpapers will come in these two colours.
So here's Miss Sex Goddess for all of you straight guys and lesbian girls in a combination of red and blue. I know that many people hate this episode (I'm NOT one of them). It is especially unpopular with die-hard J/C fans. Still, I secretly hope that you will like my wallpaper:
