Star Trek Voyager Desktop Wallpapers

It's interesting that you don't like the later seasons. Most people would say they are better than the first three.
As for me, I find Voyager to be of excellent quality from CARETAKER to ENDGAME.

Did you ever see Season 7? That's one of my fav seasons. Tom and B'Elanna simply shine in that season!

See, in my country, you can't even buy VOYAGER. It simply has never been released on DVD here. Thankfully, people have recorded the episodes from various TV channels so this is how we have access to them.

Anyway, what's weird about BEFORE AND AFTER?
There are a lot of people who like the later seasons. I'm not one of them.

I never watched season 7. My Voyager watching is a somewhat odd story. I actually stopped watching Voyager after "The Gift" and didn't watch it for almost two years.

Then I changed my mind and started to borrow VHS tapes from seasons 4 and 5 to catch up with what I've missed so I was back in the scedule in season 6.

Then came a certain disgusting episode which made me totally lose interest so I stopped watching. The only season 7 episode I've watched was "Endgame". I suddenly wanted to see what would happen to my old heroes when they got home so one minute before "Endgame" started on TV I made my mind up and watched it. Unfortunately, I must admit that I was very dissapointed with the episode.

As for Voyager DVD's, can't you buy them from Amazon?

As for "Before And After", the whole story is a bit weird with Kes living her life backwards, Janeway and Torres are dead, Kim together with Paris's and Kes's daughter and all of that. Still on my top 20 list! :techman:

As for Voyager seasons, the best season is season 2.
All episodes are great, maybe except for "Threshold" and that episode is actually a bit funny and watchable if you imagine that the events in the episode is a nightmare Paris had after eating too much of Neelix's food.

I consider Voyager's season 2 to be the best in all Trek series.

I don't like FURY, either.
Nevertheless, I love every other episode. Best show in the galaxy, LOL!

I actually own all Star Trek episodes so there's no point in ordering them form anywhere now. I know, these are recordings from television ... Still, I'm quite satisfied with them the way they are.

Also if I ordered them from Amazon, my mother tongue would not be included so I'd have to watch them in English. Which is fine but not as gratifying as watching them in your native language.

I really don't get why people think those things about BEFORE AND AFTER are weird - but then again, we are different. I thought that episode was just fine the way it was.

Same goes for THRESHOLD, I thought that that ep was great. This is science fiction after all - anything is possible. Even lizard babies ...

For me the end of Season 6 was a bit weaker than the rest of the show. I'm not saying that those episodes are completely unwatchable (with the exception of FURY, which it is) but I felt that there was definitely a drop in the quality: LIVE FAST AND PROSPER, MUSE and esp. THE HAUNTING OF DECK TWELVE were a bit all meh to me ... They were probably preparing for UNIMATRIX ZERO already (which is brilliant, I think) so perhaps that was the reason why those eps were not that great.

But then came Season 7 and I thought the the creators of the show more than made up for those end-of-Season-6 stories. Every single episode is a gem in Season 7, esp. the Tom-B'Elanna ones. Those were simply flawless, LOL!:biggrin::biggrin:

I have to disagree here. They didn't "made up for those end-of season 6-stories" at all because they never corrected the damage they made to Kes.

Believe me, there were options. Some people, including myself sent stories to them for a possible Kes come-back story in season 7. I myself contacted a person who made a script out of my story and then I sent the script to Paramount. There were people who liked the story but obviously not the right people. The story, "Coming Home" can be found at the Kes Website.

As for season 7, I won't comment on the episodes since I haven't watched them, except for "Endgame". But I know that I would have hated "Homestead".

As for "Threshold", I do have my own theory for it which can be found at the Kes Website under the link "Voyager mysteries-and how to solve them". But I will present it here:
It never happened!
It was just a nightmare Paris had after eating too much Leola Root stew or drinking too much of Neelix’s coffee. The best evidence for this episode being nothing but a nightmare is the fact that no one ever mentioned the events in the episode in later episodes. I mean, Paris breaks the Warp 10 threshold, almost dies, turns into a lizard, abducts Janeway who is also turned into a lizard and they have lizard “children” and no one talks about it or jokes about it later!

Well ... I meant to say that the end of Season 6 was weak and Season 7 was a lot stronger storywise.
I understand that Kes was not reinstitituted (or her character redeemed) - in spite of this fact I thought that Season 7 was a very good season.
I never understood, either why a main character had to be got rid of two episodes before the series finale but Neelix's emotional farewell was made in a typically VOYAGER style, which, I think, is a good thing.

Like I said ... I like THRESHOLD the way it is ... I don't pretend it's never happened because I think it's a good episode.

I don't even pretend that FURY never happened even though I don't like it. It's part of the franchise and as such it can't be changed any more - unfortunate as this fact is.

BTW, have you ever read the DARK MATTERS trilogy? It was a long time ago that I did, but I think Christie Golden came up with some sort of explanation for Kes's destiny ...

I have a different opinion here.
"Threshold" was too much over the top for me. If I see it as a nightmare Paris had and not a real adventure, then I can appreciate the many funny moments in the episode.

As for the other episode you mentioned, there is a totally different story.

Those in charge of the franchise showed a finger in the faces of the Kes fans, therefore I show the finger back at them by not accepting the episode and constantly trash it in public. It doesn't help but it makes me feel good.

Christie Golden came up with a decent try to restore the character in the "Dark Matters" trilogy. I was in touch with her via mail around that time and we did have about the same opinion of that horrible season 6 episode.

I can say the same about the Voyager String theory books by Jeffrey Lang, Kirsten Beyer and Heather Jarman in which there was a decent try to restore the character by coming up with the same solution as I have, that the pathetic character in the horrible episode wasn't the real Kes.

But my "Coming Home"-story is better! :bolian:

Well, it's your call.
But it was a long time ago and can't be changed any more. I don't think bashing it in public helps ... but if it makes you feel better, then it's all right, I guess.

In any case, since I also like Kes, you'll find some more wallpapers with her on my thread.
In fact, let me oblige you. I hope you'll like it:

TIME AND AGAIN:

"Time And Again" is one of my favorite episodes.

Not only for the spooky scenario and the unexpected twists and turns in the story but also for one of my favorite Tom Paris quotes.

LATIKA: "So, where is the child?"
PARIS: "We ate him!"

I just love Paris's funny comments from time to time. :techman:

From time to time? Always, LOL!
I have a lot of wallpapers for TIME AND AGAIN. It's not among my top episodes although I quite like it. However, it's a very colourful episode as far as the costumes are concerned and as such it easily lends itself to art ... ;)

This is a great episode. I must move it up among my top 20 favorites. One of the best Chakotay episodes. I really like the twist of the tale in this episode.

This is how "Tattoo" should have been made. No "Sky Spirits" or Native Americans as descendants of aliens, just Chakotay in a dangerous situation on an alien planet where he could have had flashbacks to his youth.

The episode was spoiled for me by the fact that everyone looked like they'd been puked on by an angry fruit salad.

Was that because of the costumes? As for me I really liked them. I sometimes have the impression that in the world of Star Trek most aliens follow the same dress code. Here there was at least variety.
For me the strangest aliens were the ones in THE RAVEN and INFINITE REGRESS. I thought there was something unnatural about their clothes ...
BTW, what's an angry fruit salad? :guffaw:

Oh, I love TATTOO. What was wrong with the sky spirits? I found them interesting.
As for me, I don't like NEMESIS that much. It's an okay episode in my book. I mean I like all VOY eps (except FURY) but I think Voyager is basically a light-hearted show and NEMESIS was too dark for that. Such episodes would do much better on Deep Space Nine.
