NEELIX

Ah Neelix, my friend, the morale of the crew would have been very low if you haven't been there. By cons in terms of your culinary taste, well, ... :barf2:

REVULSION

I remember this episode only because of the guest star, Leland Orser, already seen in a popular medical show, ER.

I wonder where came the passion/great interest from Voyager's producers/writters for holograms. It's insane! Plus, I'd add that they were often creepy and dangerous, what included too our Doctor when someone managed to enter his program ... or in his obsession for Seven!

Hi guys,

Do you remember me telling you about how there was one picture that I had made using a different technique? The time has come for me to share it with you.

As you can see, it is Janeway from RANDOM THOUGHTS. The funny thing about this wallpaper is that I kept playing around in GIMP2 and it ultimately resulted in this picture. I quite like it actually but I've never been able to repeat the technique since then no matter how often I've tried it. So unless someone can explain to me what I did in order to get this wallpaper, I have no idea how to make similar pictures, LOL! :guffaw:

Anyway … here it is:

It has a 60's (as in 1960ish) vibe. Like groovy :mallory: Goes well with the title!

What a fantastic and random result, though I have no idea what GIMP even is, so can't help with you repeating this. I love this one though! The colors are great and I like the Janeway pics you chose. :techman:

It's funny I remember reading that Begley who had worked with Beltran considered him more recognisable as an actor than the others. Yay for the much underappreciated Robert :luvlove:

(after a whole week of "abstinence" = nothing related to Voyager, I'm back but, let me tell you that I missed you!!!)

Firstly, it seems very logical that Begley can quote Beltran and not others actors, as seeing as they have already worked together in the past. Plus, just to mention it, most actors always speak positively about their former colleagues, even crossed long time ago and for a more or less shortly so, there is nothing special here.

Secondly, about Robert Beltran, the problem is not that he is underappreciated but his acting in Voyager often left to be desired..., what doesn't mean necessarily that he is a bad actor. Just that in Chakotay's role, something was missing that with years on Voyager & other actors performances (including guest stars) who offered a real screen presence , it has become even more manifeste. But for me, what I don't understand was his lack of professionalism from s4, on & outside studios, regardless some of his critics could have been justified -> as much we could maybe excuse Garett Wang's same behaviour by advancing his youth and his lack of acting experience, as much for Beltran, let's be clear, not only he was not the partridge of the year but he was relatively experienced too as he appeared in TV series/movies (even if his roles were far from memorable), so, he knew in what he was throwing, especially after 3 seasons, even if in the beginning, he didn't know anything about Star Trek and still less sci-fi. So, when Beltran declared that his commitment to Star Trek Voyager for 7 years prevented him to have other roles elsewhere, it was surely true but it was up to him too, to act to regain his freedom to undertake other much projects much more interesting like learning directing or producing to embark on the new adventure, instead of resting on its laurels and critizing the management team, the writers or his co-workers.
