In reguards to chance meetings with Star Trek actors. ... The TOS supporting cast and guest stars seem to be much more open to saying hello to fans when seen in public areas. They appreciate us and enjoy the attention, plus they know that we are the reason they are getting paid to be there. People from the later series don't seem to have the same view. Jeffrey Combs got on the elevator with me and actually looked scared that I might recognize him. When we got to the first floor he ducked his head and rushed out. I swear I took a shower that morning. I will admit that I looked at him and thought "I recognize him from somewhere." Maybe he mistook that look for "No one is around. This is my chance."
The morning after seeing Tim Russ and his band perform I met him in a hallway and said "Nice band" as I walked by. He gave his handler a "It spoke. Do something." look and went on by.
There are exceptions. I would like to go again and meet John Billingsly. I hear he is very nice towards the fans.
