I'd give it a C-D on a ranking. It's not that bad, but it's very good either. I think it's different to the other movies, for sure.
The story is somewhat weird, I thought this Sybock guy running around preaching for everyone to let their emotions out and find answers was ridiculous in a way. I dunno.
What I did like about it, however, is that it shows this very strong and loyal relationship between Kirk, Spock and Bones very well!
