News Star Trek: The Official Guide To The Animated Series

If that upper left image is the official cover, they selected what I personally consider one of the less desirable close-ups of M'Ress as it depicts her with the derpy "wall eyes" and "koala" nose, the latter having the nasal bridge mistakenly painted black. I feel should have used that shot from "The Practical Joker" just before she raises her arm to point past Kirk. That image is the closest she appears to her official "model sheet"

That's been fixed. What's on Amazon is not the final cover--close but not exact. Also you'll see her uniform collar is red not black (which happens with her off and on to the point it almost feels like a uniform variant). It's still the same angle of her however as that's the view we see of her most (and works best for this layout). There are few other angles of her but from version to version she looks...awkward.

got mine on my desk right here, great, resource, just makes me want more,, I know there's stuff that went home or into dumpsters years ago that belongs in the book, three thumbs up

Yeah that's heartwrenching to know what we DIDN'T find. And I know the music situation was awful. So little about that is known and now a lot of people have passed away.

Since you mentioned the music, I'll add that I bought the 50th Anniversary music boxed set, which contains the score on disc 2, and they did a nice job recovering and restoring that soundtrack. Lots of memories with those queues...

Just got my copy today.

It actually covered the initial concept with the added teenagers characters and even has the concept image for that included.

Interestingly enough apparently they were also considering just doing teenage version of the TOS cast even had concept art for teenager Kirk.

Probably for the best that Roddenberry shot down those ideas.

How in depth does the book go? I love the series and know only less about that incarnation of Trek than any other.
