Star Trek: The Experience FINAL SHOW ticket auction!

All we really have right now are rumors, but from the sounds of it, there is some hope. Just remember, it will not be the same STTE we know and love; it will be different, but we can probably learn to love it too (assuming a new attraction ever happens)

What rumors???

This one is floating around the blogs...

Star Trek: The Experience Vegas Return Rumored

In the Star Trek universe, dead isn't dead. Just ask Spock.

Now, less than two weeks after Star Trek: The Experience closed its docking doors in Las Vegas, rumors of a new home for the sci-fi attraction are beaming into Sin City.

A spokesman for Vegas entertainment website AmericanLowLife.com is reporting a potential "meeting of the Experiences," with the Star Trek version moving downtown to a new home along the Fremont Street Experience.

Rumors have the Trek museum, shops and rides moving into the Neonopolis, a retail and entertainment center on Fremont Street's eastern end. Requests for confirmation from Neonopolis representatives have gone unheeded so far, but hailing frequencies remain open.

I've looked all over TrekMovie.com and haven't seen this story. Could you provide a link?

AmericanLowLife.com is a sex/swinger's site. I am not accusing you of passing on spam intentionally but I have to wonder if the original post you saw at TrekMovie might not have been that adult site's owners spamming their url out there by linking it to STTE's good name.

Hmmm... I can't find it either. It was posted on 12 September, because that's the date I first copied the text above and posted it to a private forum I use. I copied it from my forum to quote it here, rather than looking up the original article. I was traveling when I found the original reference, and have slept since then, so my memory is fogged. Now I'm doubting it was an actual TrekMovie article...

Maybe it was a link in a talkback? Not sure any longer. Here's the article I quoted, which is just a blog entry, so give that all the weight it deserves.

(I removed the TrekMovie reference from the quotation.)

While it might not be the same STTE, I'm keeping my fingers crossed about the above rumor. I would like my promenade back. Hopefully incorporating all Trek again and not just the (blank) one being made now.

I agree. I'd miss the rides, but it was Quark's, the Promenade, and the people in it that made that place what it was. It'd be nice to see that much saved, if at all possible.

It's a little late, but hey. ;)

You were so way ahead of the curve on this one, dude! Your original source reeked of BS to me, but you had all your facts straight, as it turns out!

I wondered there for a while, once the nature of the original source was revealed. But I guess even swingers can be right once in a while. And this time, when it really matters! ;)
