Finally we're getting our Ortegas episode! Unless they do another fakeout.

My prediction for “Terrarium” (which might turn out to be completely false) is that Ortegas will have to fight against some sort of entity or monster on the moon that turns out to be a mere manifestation of her inner demons, possibly tying into her PTSD caused by the events in the season opener. The “toxic moon” from the episode blurb let’s me think there’s maybe a hallucinatory effect going on that might make her see things that aren’t really there. One has to wonder if they’ll give Navia anything (anyone?) to play off of, or if she’ll be completely alone just talking to herself (or her log, I guess).

Also, Strange New Worlds tends to go for an A/B (and sometimes A/B/C/D) story structure, so I wonder if there’ll be something else going on aboard the ship.

Either way, I’m really looking forward to this one.

If it was Uhura in her place, I’d say Hemmer but we haven’t had a character close to Erica get killed off unless I forgot someone. It would have to be someone we never heard of.

I was more thinking another, alien, pilot, and she finds a crashed ship and then they appear to work together but ends up the alien is dead.

True. Even just looking at Trek it’s kind of a staple at this point. Off the top of my head we have:

“Arena”
“Darmok”
“The Enemy”
“The Ascent”
“Waltz”
“Dawn”

Maybe this’ll be another entry?
