Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

In fact, I suspect that the Eaglemoss model will be the smallest version of the ship we'll ever see, to be honest.

I wonder what size the Hallmark ornament of Discovery will be.It might be smaller than the Eaglemoss version.

Good question. No mention of size on the announcement. I suspect it should be comparable to the Eaglemoss version. Those nacelles are guaranteed to give people fits.

In other news, yes, the Titan magazine finally arrived today (yay!) and I've pre-ordered the new Shuttle set (yay x 2!).

AND for those who have not yet gotten the Aventine it is now once again available (yay x 3!)
Get it while you can, 'cause it's probably going to go away again quickly.

So, interesting! Just got an email that the $59.95 is, in fact, the XL E-E. Additionally, they're also sending a free binder (cool) AND an Enterprise dedication plaque! Don't know which one, though. Had no idea that would be a part of it. I already have all of them, but it's a nice extra thing that they didn't have to do. There's still a long way to go to make up for all the stupidity that we've seen in recent years, but at least it's something and I appreciate it. :)

Still haven't received the Titan magazine and when I called earlier in the week they told me they had no stock to send them out. On a better note, my Aventine is out for delivery for today, so that's good.

Aventine came in, with the magazine. It's not a bad ship, but a bit small. The deflector looking the way it does is a massive disappointment though.

I got my Titan and Aventine a week or so ago, but no magazine. Are they sending out email alerts when the mags ship or do they just show up out of nowhere?

Also, Titan might be the most solid, well made model they've issued while Aventine seems like it's 90% plastic. Kinda odd how that works out. So happy to have both though. DS9 2.0 would be an awesome way to round out the novelverse, but I doubt we'll see it.

Also, anyone else have an early batch NCC-1701-D that says "Intiaparinu" on the shuttlebay?

They just show up like my Titan mag did on Friday. Their email notifications are quite lacking. Their communication with the customers has always been a major source of contention since the beginning, even when the Brits were still running the show.

Finally received my Titan magazine this weekend. First time they've sent out a "missing" item unlike me still waiting for issues #100 & #101. Also received an email notification that the Aventine is on the way but no magazine is listed in the Package includes section so looks like I'll have to wait again. :brickwall:

I actually received an email notification from Eaglemoss on the Titan magazine though it had a blank spot in the Package includes section so I really didn't know what they were sending me!

Huh. That's weird. Their notifications really have always been hit-or-miss since the beginning. Some people get them, some don't. The online store's email system is particularly bad. I've set up many email requests over the years for out-of-stock items to let me know when they're available. The Aventine was the most recent example. I've never received one single email from that "service" and the only way I ever wound up getting things I was missing was just randomly checking the store several times a week. Eventually they would show up as being available and I would immediately jump on them when I got in there. Major pain in the ass any way you cut it. Their website just sucks in general.

P.S. Don't hold you breath on backfills (100 & 101). They never send them once they're back in stock if you're a subscriber. I was missing 8 issues at one point over the past year and I just bit the bullet and got them on my own individually, either through their store, or Amazon or eBay. I knew I would never see them otherwise. Subscribers always seem to take a backseat behind the online store with their dodgy inventory system.

Weird - I can't get into the main shopping site right now. Getting a "Secure Connection Failed" error, like the certificates went bad or something. Hope they didn't get hacked, although it honestly wouldn't surprise me if they did. If they handle their cert security the same way they handle the rest of their site's architecture, I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

What do people think of this Phase II Enterprise design? Found it on Trek collective, not sure how official the cover is but I would much rather have the bussards be blue as seen in posters of the ship. I'll accept red though if that was Matt Jefferies original intention.

The CG model is on Memory Alpha: http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Trek:_The_Official_Starships_Collection
