Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

I think I'm going to jump into this with a few selected models (like three or four), I'd like to know which ones to avoid if there are any. Are there models that are objectively bad because they got things wrong, lack details, screwed up paint jobs etc?

I ask because it's easy to find a model that I like but it's not always easy to see flaws in pictures.

There is a blog which reviews most of the models - possibly someone here runs it?

Almost all the models have minor things they got wrong, often because of the small size, but off the top of my head I think the models with the most glaring inaccuracies are the refit Enterprise, the Stargazer, the Enterprise-C, the Negh'Var and the Antares. Some of them are still nice models, but they have parts that were simply omitted, missing decals or unsightly seams.

The best models thus far – at least for me – have been the NX-01, the NX-01 refit, the NCC-1701-D, the Reliant, the Maquis raider, the Klingon Bird-of-Prey from Enterprise, the Andorian battlecruiser, the Romulan drone, the Intrepid, the Franklin and the ECS Fortunate.

@TheIrishTrekkie does a popular review series of the model on YouTube where he talks all the models in great detail.

Doesn't apply to the oversized editions. :weep:
Yeah it does. UK site anyway, Enterpise-E & D were £49.99, now £44.99. And the TOS one was 49.99 now 42.49

I just checked and the Promo code EAGLEMOSS10 still works, so that's 10% of that too, so can get the E or the D for £40.49.
Hmm, again I was trying not to spend much this month, but I'll have a think..

Not sure whether I want to spend the money but I want the D. :D
You want mine? Seriously, I have the second one now. I'll sell it to you at my subscription cost of $60 plus S&H.

PM me if interested. Saves me the time and drudgery of flipping it on eBay.

Well I was just charged for two ships via PayPal. However, I have no idea if it's the next regular monthly shipment (#104 & #105) or issues #100 & #101 that they failed to send me two months ago. Since they send shipping notifications out so randomly I may not know until the package arrives.

With them failing to send out certain ships on certain months that really messes up my monthly budget as I just don't know when/if they'll charge me for those missing ones. That's a bit frustrating.

I was just charged for two as well. One is my regular shipment, don't know if it's my missed 98 & 99 or 104/105 yet. The other should be the Swarm special ship that I got an email about a week or so ago.

Charge showed up for me also. It's likely a regular shipment. I've given up all hope of ever counting on Eaglemoss to fill the old holes they made. Unfortunately, most of my stuff is still in boxes after a big move and I haven't completely itemized what's missing yet. Comics too. Need to get on that soon.

Clarifying my last post, I actually have two charges - one is my normal two ships, the other is for the Swarm ship.

Oh really? Interesting - did you ever get an email notification for the swarm ship being sent? I have heard nothing about it, and the Franklin is still MIA.

Yes, back on 8/15. I'm now thinking maybe my conversation with the Eaglemoss Rep at STLV did work out.

There is a weird message at the bottom of the email about being subscribed to the Spock's Jellyfish. That's the one my trouble started on.

Pre-Ordered the USS Titan on the Eaglemoss store today, was going to order a couple others but decided against it. I noticed that they raised the price of all the "regular" priced models to $22.95. I ordered 4 ships about 2 weeks ago and they were all $21.95. It's only a dollar, but still.
