Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

No magazine? Hmm. Surprising. It may come later. I remember getting one of the magazines a couple weeks after the model. May have been the XL TOS E or maybe the mirror version. Can't exactly remember. It's possible if there is a magazine it may get delivered at a later time.

In he meantime I finally got my E-J from Amazon. Such a shame that Eaglemoss couldn't be bothered to take care of its regular customers more effectively.

Got my Titan in today, no magazine was included. The receipt did say that it will ship separately.

Went to Eaglemoss' shop today, was thinking of picking up the Jenolan, they raised the prices of the ships by $1.

I've been scouring Twitter, Instagram and the Facebook fan group but nobody's been posting images of their Titan so far.

Eaglemoss is running a Labor Day Weekend sale on the US website. Amount is off the entire order 10% off $60-$74.99, 15% off $75 to $99.99 and 25% off $100 and up.

Just used it for Titan, the Franklin plaque & 2 binders which brought me to just enough to get free shipping also.

I just got the Altamid Swarm Ship in the mail so it looks like my specials might be back on track.

The description on the receipt/packing slip was hilarious though. ST Beyond Bad Guy Ship & ST Beyond Bad Guy Ship magazine. :guffaw:

Yay! K-7, Kazon raider and Klingon BOP arrived here in England. Very happy about the weight, size and quality of each model.

This also marks a small paradigm: checking the Collection page on Memory Alpha, we can see that for the next six months, each release contains one Starfleet and one alien/non-Starfleet ship (depending on how you count Captain Proton's rocket). I like that parity.

The Starfleet focus is on 2360s, and 23rd century kitbash designs. *drool*

ordered the jumbo -E last thursday through the eaglemoss shop, arrived today.

happy to have it mostly because the standard size was just too teensy. interestingly, the deflector is not translucent orange like the regular issue, but a separate, opaque piece painted gold.

not saying i'm disappointed, because i feel like i got what i expected, but it's not the most exciting thing in the world for $75. heavy AF though.

Oh my the k7 is beautiful. An absolute stunner. This may be my favourite model so far. The 60s kitsch looks great. I know some of you only buy specific models and I can't tell you how accurate it is but I love it and can't recommend it enough. My box of joy also contained the attacking bop which is ok and the Kazan raider, again that one is a bit meh but that is because it arrived with the K7. Have I told you how much I love it?

How much detail is there inside the lower shuttlebay on the K-7? I have seen a number of photos of this replica but don't recall any showing that area...

When I'm home, I'll have another look. Cannot recall if it had the sign in there or not. No NCC-K7 and Spacematic in there, of course.
Edit: door frames are physically present, but no labels (given that you can't print inside).

Yep, just saw some mention on the facebook page it was ready to order in the UK site, just put mine in. Nice one.
(EAGLEMOSS10 still works btw for 10% off, basically like £1 off but better than nothing)

Glad to see the US shop restock some ships. Snagged an Oberth class today, hopefully a couple more will still be in stock on payday lol

Got my jumbo E delivery yesterday, damn she is a heavy girl! After playing about and looking at it for a quater of an hour or so, all the other models suddenly seem tiny in my eyes now :D

Haven't gotten mine yet, even though I signed up for the XL subscription. I've seen photos of it, though, and it looks really good, although the Bussard collector areas look a little small compared to the original filming miniature, or is that just an optical illusion or something?

they are a tad small, but it's not that noticeable in person. there's a nice effect inside them that gives them a kind of faceted quality that reflects the bussards on screen (hard to describe, you'll see when you hold it up to the light), but i'm not sure it was intentional. the thickness of the saucer is my biggest criticism, but honestly i'm not sure i would've noticed it if someone hadn't already pointed it out online.

given the amount of detail, general accuracy of the sculpt, quality and weight of the ship in-hand, i think it's a great, if imperfect product.
