Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

^ Just a plain cut&paste. I'm not a professional hobby builder but the need for having a Yeager-type outweighs the patience for 3D printing. Plus, I'm sure it will be fun and relatively easy to do.

Definitely going to post pictures.

^ The landing struts were from the second iteration of Voyager. JL reused their molds a lot, which had up- and downsides.

I know. That's why we got other ships of the same class like Excalibur, Defiant, and Yamato (which I liked), as well as "battle damaged" or "cloaked" versions of the same ships (which I didn't like coming out).

Aye, I'd like to see prominent ships, even if they're just relabelled models. Maybe a new dish for the NX-02, though.

Some battle-scarred models were cool but it's best not to overdo it. I'd've preferred the Majestic without battle damage.

My biggest issue with the special 'battle damaged' versions of replicas is that most of the time it is just some scorch marks painted on an original molding.
Now if they really did it right with hull gaps and exposed mangled structures I would be all over that.

Does anyone know or heard any information on if/when they will make/offer more binders? It seems beyond ridiculous that they have been out of stock for this long. I ordered two back in November when they showed on the website as available but just received an email from them saying it was an "error" to have listed them back then. Was told I can keep the order open and they'll ship once some become available. I've even been signed up for automatic shipment of the binders through the subscription but haven't received even one all the years I've had that activated. Has Eaglemoss or anyone made a comment on this?

I received one through subscription but opted out to save the cost. But it seems surprising that something as mundane as binders would be in so high a demand.

My Enterprise-J arrived yesterday, it seems a little wobbly on the stand but besides that a fantastic model. One of the best ones in a long time.

I've seen on Facebook the subscribers have recieved their next batch, the Romulan Scout Ship and the USS Saratoga. Both look terrific and will pick them up upon shop release (if I can find them!)

^ Shiny! Can't wait to have a closer look at the Saratoga. I'm glad the 'ban' on variants/mold-duplicates is out of the window because some ships really deserve their day in the limelight.

SO loving the Kyushu. The Big-D is nice, but I find the aztecking to be a bit too high-contrast. Almost reminds me of the colors recommended in the painter's guide of the first-run AMT/ERTL kit. Aside from that, excellent-looking model. I wonder if the saucer separates? Looks like it might with that deep line around the neck.

Any subscribers in the 'States receive the Jellyfish special yet? I know they take longer than usual to get sent out but jeez!

Have they actually started releasing the specials in the UK and the States concurrently as in the past, it's been three months or so between the two.

Not sure - is that how long it's been so far? Can't remember if/when the UK got theirs. I guess at least 3 months is about right. Seemed like it took longer for the Into Darkness Klingon BOP.

Here in the UK, I think my Jellyfish arrived in late November or early December.

Yesterday, Jarok's scout ship and the USS Saratoga NCC-31911 arrived. I only noticed it now, in direct comparison, that the Saratoga is a completely new mold and not a reuse of the Reliant model. The Sara is slightly larger. The only downside is that the nacelles are painted blue instead of having the opaque blue plastic the Reliant has.

Eaglemoss really is resistant to plain reuse. I wouldn't mind relabelled models, to be honest.

I hope when they run low on ships that they do some repaints. I know I'm not the only one that wants a yellow Stargazer, a light-blue Excelsior, Reliant, Oberth. Those were some interesting paint jobs on the Micro Machines.

^ I wonder whether it would be more accurate to turn a Reliant or Saratoga into the Lantree.

The Memory Alpha page has been updated again, but for some new ships I can't find a source on Facebook or Twitter, like Yeager (NCC-65674). Did I miss an announcement?

I'd be happy to have one with the proportions of the actual filming miniature. The Stargazer is one of the Eaglemoss models that differs too much from the ship it's representing.
