Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

I read online that Eaglemoss is thinking of an April release for the Klingon D4 special in the UK. Meanwhile, the US still has received nary a peep regarding the Vengeance, so I'm thinking April.

I'm not a subscriber, I just order them individually through one of my FLGS here in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I ordered the Vengeance about a month ago and it arrived early last week. I haven't picked it up yet, That'll be on Friday.

On a related note... I scored the Hot Wheels releases of the JJ-prise and Vengeance off Craigslist last Friday. Cheaper than eBay too!

I didn't get the Enterprise-B in the shops last week.
So, yesterday I subscribed here in Ireland, too. Now I'm having the German subscription with those nifty extra shuttles, and the earliest-release-on-the-planet Irish subscription.

The best of both worlds, so to speak. :rommie:

^At the moment they are only a subscription "plus" gift, meaning if you pay an extra x amount a month you'll get the 4 shuttles over the course of your subscription - how often or when you receive them I don't think has been publically stated, but I imagine it'd be after they get the Borg Cube, so thats at least 6 months away before people start getting them. Only after that will some show up on eBay for grossly inflated prices.

So, I just finished my list of wants and MUST haves. My MUST haves are all the canon Enterprises. I did notice that the ENT-A is not mentioned. Do you think we will see that one? I want to make a display with them all.

Yep that one is confirmed with an updated paint job. The other enterprise ships that have been confirmed are the enterprise J and the NX refit.

Thanks, Any idea what the issue number will be?

Nope, no specific issue release number has been announced for any of the remaining Enterprise, outside of NCC-1701 original as #50.

God next month is going to be expensive. two subscriptions, get the announcement for the Vengeance (which I am still not 100% on getting, just hate the ugly ship), and I get on my 2nd sub a notice for the same day about Deep Space Nine.

Ugh thats 160 dollars if I want them all.... And March and April are about the worst financial months for me.

I feel sorry for anyone who subscribe for the models, I get my models every fortnight from my local newsgancy and haven't had any problems except for the current issue which is the number 22 in the collection which is almost a month late, apart im being happy with speed they coming out(in Australia).

I subscribed because the only place in my city I could find them was charging twice the price of the sub (the place has since shut down). Also in aus. I'm crossing my fingers that I don't have the issues some people have.

They did it that way because they wanted to be true to the studio model which didn't either.

Can't believe I forgot to mention this already this week; Last weekend I received an email telling me I will be charged for the Vengeance later this month. So American subscribers should be getting their Vengeances (Vengeai?) end of March and early April.

I send an email to the company that are in charge of the models here in Australia to find out why issue 22 and other models aint available yet.

Indeed. As we got into the CG era and had more battle scenes ships visible on-screen for little more than a second or two, they often dispensed with the name and/or the registry, presumably to save time.

The 22nd century Intrepid, for instance, had no markings at all, leaving it's class designation a mystery. Even a shot showing a couple of Galaxies in "Sacrifice" didn't have registries.

Speaking of registries, I kind of wish the Thunderchild had been given a higher one (maybe change the "6" to a "7", to suggest something designed in the later TNG years, as was the case with the Defiant and Intrepid classes). My reasoning was that it actually looks like an intermediate step between the Galaxy and the Sovereign (it has a wider saucer like the Galaxy, but the nacelles, along with the sharper angles are more reminiscent of the Sovereign).
