Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Damn that IS messed up! Either it's a horrible clerical error or someone is specifically targeting you. And what a positively odd thing way of going about it, too, cancelling a subscription to a Star Trek ships magazine... I honestly hope it's just a simple matter of someone fat-fingering a typo into their database that you were randomly affected by. Either that, or you made an enemy of someone along the way...

Yeah, I'm thinking it's an error and whoever took the call canceled the wrong account, but I want to make sure.

Messy divorce and the ex-wife tried to hit you where it hurts the most? :guffaw:

Just talked to someone after 15 minutes on hold--they said there was a note on my account that someone called on February 5 to cancel, which I didn't do, so that's kind of alarming.

I requested a call from a supervisor to see if they can provide any additional information on this.

While I have had nothing but great service from Eaglemoss. You do hear of screw ups made by the company. SO I hope it was just that an honest, but annoying error. Otherwise your left with the option of someone deliberately messing with you.

I hope honest error.

I got a charge on my credit card on Thursday, but no email or shipment yet. I, too, have noticed that things seem to be getting a little lagged and out of order again, but nowhere near as bad as it was in the beginning, charging almost a full month before delivery. I suspect they'll probably show up within the next couple of days. Not worried at all.

Still hoping we may see the shuttles one day, and you can't touch a Borg cube for under $50 on eBay anymore, not including absurdly exorbitant shipping costs.

Mine has normally been three weeks from charge to delivery. When I started it was right at 4 weeks.

Usually takes more a little more then a week before I get the email of shipment, and then another ten days after that arrives for a delivery.

I hate reading about people who seem to get there is like a week or so...

Boy, after this post, what happens I get charged on the 6th or 5th for my current month. And I get the notice on Monday that it's shipped with an expected date of next thursday. It shows up today.

I have never, ever had service any where near this fast from Eaglemoss.

The ships, The 22nd Century Bird of Prey is tiny, but really well detailed. It's very nice.

The Grissom (or As I like to think, the Pegasus), is huge for this collection, and my window detail is actually almost spot on. I follow thefacebook page and a few bloggers and I have read and seen pictures of so many of the Grissom's with Window detail that isn't even close to the actual imprint of the actual windows.

My paint job hits the all the windows but is low, so it about half is under, and the other half right on.

My question is this worse or better then average? I have only seen worse, but I might only see people who post the bad, and not the good.

And if none have been spot on then I won't order a replacement.

Overall I would say Eaglemoss is pretty darn good. There are always exceptions, of course, but I would grade them a B+ to an A. My only gripe is sometimes the detailing isn't all there (aft section of the Nebula, underside of the Maurader, the 22nd Century Warbird). Sometimes I think they might rely a little TOO much on 3D meshes and computer generated versions. But at least from my perspective, the overall quality, the variety of ships (the longer this runs, the more interesting the ships IMO) and the reliability of service (I've had absolutely no problems), this collection is certainly the way to go.

Just got the proto-BoP and the Grissom. Still have not gotten the to prior issues. Eaglemoss says that they seem to be on back order. :(

As for there customer service, over all, I would agree that they do a decent job, but the issues that I have had involved issues with my CC (international block, Card expired, ect), have come with no communication from Eaglemoss. Every other retailer I use has always sent me some kind of email stating there was an issue: card wouldn't possess, delay in shipping. But not from Eaglemoss. That is my biggest, gripe with them, the next being that they should geta US possessor so I don't have to keep removing the international block on my debit card every month.

It looks like they changed the cover art at the last minute for that issue. If you look inside the back cover of the preceding Bird of Prey magazine, you'll see a different render for the Oberth model set at a different angle. No idea why they would have done this.
On mine, the main image on that page is of the Grissom, but the close up pix on the bottom of the page are of the Pegasus.

Honest error. A supervisor called me today and said that someone with a similar address called to cancel and they went into my account by mistake. Happy that Eaglemoss took the time to find out and let me know. :techman:

Address? That seems... fishy. We have a subscriber number for a reason.

That's a security failure by whoever answers Eaglemoss' customer service telephone line; they should be double-checking subscriber numbers or something. Heck, for further security they could assign us all passwords too.

With the new runs for the newer territories, do we know if they are any differences between the runs? Like fixed decals or the like?

I got the Vengeance delivered to me and it looks to be the best yet.

Some great artwork showing two weapon spheres that were to detach from the secondary hull

still waiting on the Krenim temporal weapon ship,i have notice that some of the ships don't stand on the clear stand or that the black stand is mislabelled but apart from these little errors I cant fault the models.

My Paypal was charged for the Andorian Battlecruiser & Delta Flyer yesterday. I wonder if last month's push into February will continue as a push into Smarch, or if we'll get our new ships next week?

Got the 22nd Century Klingon BoP and Grissom last week. Both are extremely well made and the BoP is my favorite of the two. Just so well done. I'm really excited for the Enterprise B, I'm liking the pics on the Facebook page and like that it's a little bigger than the previous Excelsior.

Hopefully the stupid Smarch weather doesn't slow them down.

I got the e-mail from eaglemoss with the tracking info for the BoP and Grissom, which estimated delivery on the 14th. It still hasn't come in and the tracking info hasn't been updated since the 7th. Has this happened to anyone? I'm not sure if I should be concerned or just optimistically keeping an eye on it...

I picked mine up yesterday and it is a mighty fine little ship. I was pleasantly surprised when I compared the two and discovered it is wee bit bigger than Excelsior herself.

I read online that Eaglemoss is thinking of an April release for the Klingon D4 special in the UK. Meanwhile, the US still has received nary a peep regarding the Vengeance, so I'm thinking April.
