Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

I must be out of the loop, because I totally missed that they had announced the Protostar. Finally! The angle they’ve chose for this shot looks a little odd, but googling it I found some other images of the model from TrekCore and it looks perfect there. Where did you get this image, by the way? Did they send that out as a newsletter or something like that? And is there any mention of when it might be released?

EDIT: Looking back I found out that they actually already announced that they would do the Protostar way back in October of 2024. I must have forgotten. This is the first time I’ve seen images of it, though. :)

I wonder if they’ll make a slipstream drive active version (or whatever that enhanced propulsion system is called). I guess it all depends on how the standard version sells.

The Obena class is pretty interesting looking - Nicer that the Excelsior II, IMO, but those (Sovereign) engine nacelles seem a little stubby and out of proportion for the rest of the ship. i guess I'm used to the longer Excelsior nacelles on that spaceframe.
I just loaded into STO to play around with it, forgetting that the Obena can't mix'n'match parts with the Sovereign. On my ship, I added pieces of the Excelsior II class to make the Obena more slightly more graceful.

XL and regular Eaglemoss-made USS Prometheus compared with a 3D print.
I hope Fanhome’s XL redux series is so successful that they add new ships, like Aventine, Negh’Var, Dauntless-A.

I added some impulse engines to my Odyssey class model:

The Master Replicas starship library models that were moved to Q3 still aren't in stock. In fact, when was the last time MR shipped any new pre-order item? I'm getting worried...
Yeah, there’s always fear that companies using preorders for potentially funding day-to-day activities are one bad financial decision away from going belly up, a previous iteration of MR did this.

Did the person who wrote that description read the actual plaque? The words "Constitution-class" are nowhere to be found.

Neither version of the Ent-A plaque said Constitution on it, so I have no idea where they got that from. According to Memory-Alpha, the one in ST5 says Starship Class, and the one in ST6 didn't have a class.

The first Enterprise dedication plaque to say 'Constitution' was the one made for Strange New Words.

I believe first dedication plaque to ever to say Constitution was the Stargazer's in TNG. Since it was made before they swapped the class.

the defiant plaque is in stock on the international site, but not the US site which still has it as Pre-Order, which is where my order is because there was no international site when I pre-ordered. I think.

The Edison class Doctor Edison/Mister Harlan model has arrived in UK. My favorite bit is the clear plastic deflector “prism”.
Compared here with Eaglemoss models USS Edison (Edison and Hoover class) and the USS Edison from GamePrint (RIP).
