Heh... haven't heard about those yet. Keep in mind many of the specials (particularly the bigger ones and the XL's) have smaller magazines that are put in the box by the manufacturer before they're sealed, and not a separate thing like with the smaller models. I've gotten a number of those since the announcement, and those magazines were actually included, so those might potentially be skipped. I honestly don't know. Their notification didn't get into that level of detail. There are still a lot for them to put out there. All we can really do is wait. Are there similar links for the specials, the Disco line and STO ones? Asking for a friend.
Ugh.
So I ordered the Antares NCC-9844, and the three Excelsior prototypes. I've never bought an EM ship before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Well, the first thing was that they sent me two of the same model (the 'Alka-selsior') even though it's clearly printed on the packing list that I had ordered three separate Excelsior prototype ships. So I'm still missing one. The second thing is that none of the models contained magazines. And the last thing (and maybe someone in the know can fill me in on this) is that the cardboard boxes these models come in are very small and don't seem to have a top, so all you get is the clear plastic insert holding the ship, and the bottom of the box. There isn't even any plastic wrap to hold anything in place. Is this normally how EM packages their ships?
And fix the TNG one while they're at it!Kind-of hoping they'll also do the TOS-era Stargazer as well.
That's different. I've requested many replacements over the years and they have never once asked for me to mail anything back to them. Definitely a new (and somewhat unsettling) development in their "customer service process".Update: So I called Eaglemoss support about my duplicate ship issue. While they are going to ship me the correct Excelsior study model I ordered but didn't get, they told me to ship the duplicate model back to them, on my shipping dime. I'm a little miffed about that, because I don't feel like I should be paying shipping costs for something that was clearly EM's fault. However, I didn't argue this with the person on the phone because I could tell they were clearly not going to be helpful in that regard, and they are already shipping me the correct model anyway. On that note, I'm definitely going to at least wait until they ship me the correct model before sending the duplicate one back.

Thank you for sharing!Nope, they’re all free for downloading and up to issue #150. Here’s the link. I’m gonna be busy this weekend.![]()
That's just it - that's what they used to do. That happened to me a couple of years back - they sent a duplicate - their fault, they just said, keep it, free of charge. So I just flipped it on eBay. I guess things have changed with the lack of supply. The packing list states, "Our products are guaranteed to meet your standards for quality and performance. If the shipment doesn't meet your expectations, you may return it at your expense (emphasis mine) within 30 days for refund by simply calling us."
Now if I just didn't like the ship I got, I can understand having to pay shipping to return it to them. But this was a mistake on their part. If I do indeed end up getting the correct ship, my honest nature will most likely still compel me to return the duplicate at my cost. It's just annoying. At best, they could at least have said, "Our mistake. Just keep the $20 duplicate ship you were mistakenly sent."
Quite welcome! Hopefully they'll have up to 180 soon and maybe, if we're lucky, digital books on the Specials & XL's. Books for the Battlestar line would be nice too, but I'm not holding my breath on that one.Thank you for sharing!
I've waited for digital mags since the first Trek collection came out and it was advertised for subscribers.
Finally I can get images onto my PC that lack the central fold or irksome light/shadowplay.
In the US that's a crime (though unless you can prove that its a widespread ongoing issue no one would ever prosecute over it).Update: So I called Eaglemoss support about my duplicate ship issue. the NX-01 refit is canon
Odd…now that…

I went to order it off Eaglemoss and it’s showing up as a pre-order. I guess that means they are restocking? Just seems odd for an older model.
