I'm using some clear Lego pieces as additional supports so the nacelles of the XL nebula don't bend towards the saucer as much...

Cool idea. A shame it's necessary, though.

I received the Picard Romulan Bird of Prey yesterday. Very nice model. I’m going to think of this as a Motion Picture era BoP. I especially like the bird art at the back.

I like that a LOT! I kind of wish they put that much work into the Zheng He for the show, but it is what it is, I guess.

And, yeah, I would agree that this could be seen as a TMP-era BOP "refit", if I were to place this in the lineage.

I'm curious how the Osiris will turn out, it's probably the second greebliest ship ever.

    Model pictures of the Osiris!

On the model, the geeblies seem concentrated on forward sticks, some sticks on top, and then the deflector dish (?) unit with lots of extra antennae. Main body appears solid.

 I think that was done to make Osiris look really old compared to more contemporary designs. And yeah, I would agree they went just a skosh overboard with it... :)

The idea was that Osiris was a stealth intelligence ship. The mirror-polished hull was supposed to be an anti-DRADIS coating, and all the dishes were probably extra-long-range passive sensors.

Interesting, it looks like the 3D model they're using on the cover is James Hibbert's gussied-up version from after production ended (this image of the Osiris on this page isn't very clear, but you can get a better look at the detailing on his upgraded Demeter model, which uses a lot of the same components. And I now see it makes sense that they used his versions of the models, since he's providing the renders). The giveaway is he added the visible launch tubes above the nameplate (we saw a launch from a Viper's POV in the movie, but there weren't actually any tubes on the ship). It also has a much more elaborate lighting rig.

So I got an email from Eaglemoss that they will be sending be their cocktail recipe book as my next Discovery collection special, which seems odd, so I’ll have to opt out of that.

Nice detailing on the presentation model.
The purchasable one is plain wooden. Its appeal is as a crafting souvenir, rather than a 'normal' ship model.

Speaking of models, still says Estimated June for USS Armstrong and USS Mayflower, but that's gonna be July releases, right?

    Loki-class model arrived.
    Really cool.

Why is it called Loki but labelled Cyclops?

This render and this preview image both seem to indicate that Eaglemoss think the rear of Oh's warbird is the front. I wonder if they'll notice that error before designing the stand for the model...

A Youtube video is neither a render nor an image. It may feature them. :p
