Got an e-mail from MR this morning. Looks like they must have been getting a ton of negative feedback about delays and such. They are starting up monthly status emails, a newsletter, etc… and promising better communication when there is an issue with something (like the action figures). Plus they gave out a 20% off coupon.

It’s a mass e-mail so everyone should be getting it.

I got the email too - they’ve missed every single preorder date by months, so there’s something going on with their production and suppliers that they don’t seem to manage well, so I’m not sure that the monthly emails will really be that useful.

At this point, I’m a little hesitant to preorder anything else, because they want payment up front and they went out of business before owing people for prepaid items. They’re obviously using that to pay for things now and like almost all of the small companies that do this, so I am concerned they’re probably going to get overextended at some point and fail.

Yeah, I got the email too and had Eaglemoss red flags. I don't think I have many pre-orders in with them (just the TOS phaser IIRC), but they've always delivered in the past.

Does feel like they might want to slow down a little bit if they want to be sustainable. But I appreciate that all the uncertainty over tariffs and inflation makes this such a difficult time for any kind of business like this.

yeah, I will NEVER pre-order from them again after the issues they’ve been having with the action figures. Assuming no additional delays, Mariner will be close to a year late in delivery.

Pre-ordered March ‘25 for a Q3 ‘25 delivery. Now looking like a Q3 ‘26 delivery.

I get that there are unforeseen delays but it’s just been unacceptable, especially with the lack of communications.

I’d think Galileo would be the SNW version.

Also, not really sure if we need two Cerritos in the next twelve and another XL Protostar. I’d have liked Rayner’s Antares from DIS . I’d also guess Damocles is a one of the background fleet ships from PIC.

Yeah I assumed TOS Galileo must be an error because it doesn't really make sense. Must be SNW.

There's no ship called Damocles in Picard, background or otherwise.

Maybe it's an upcoming ship in SFA, or possibly a design that had no name and they were given permission to name. I can't think of any though.

Maybe not, and perhaps I’m mistaken, but it hasn’t seemed Fanhome has been 100% accurate to ship names for some of the background actually appearing in the show.

I’d be very interested in a larger sized TOS Galileo (something similar in sized to the Eaglemoss Yosemite from LD). But if that’s a missprint and it is the SNW version…pass.

Other than that, of the new ships, the Aledo and Athena have me interested. Unless the Athena is an XL. Pass on the rest…pending clarification on the Damocles.

Meanwhile…I still have no update on the Archimedes from Fanhome…starting to get a bit ticked.

Every fourth ship is an XL, so Athena probably is an XL — which also seems to fit Fanhome’s “hero ships get an XL” release.

Well every ship in Seasons 2 and 3 of Picard have been named by Dave Blass.

So it's probably from a different show.

Aaaand I jinxed it. I'm not really interested in the Synth ship, only in shuttles and season 2/3 ships...

Could the USS Damocles be the "fake" Starfleet ship (NCC-1279)?

TrekCore posted on Facebook that the Damocles is indeed the fake Starfleet ship from the SNW season two premiere (or, if you put it on the stand upside-down, the real Starfleet ship from the SNW season two premiere ), and the Cerretos variant is the one-nacelled version from the LDS series finale.

What confused me about the "Cerritos Variant" that was shown on-screen was described as a "Freedom class" starship by Boimler. The only similarity between that and the real Freedom class is that it does, in fact, have a single nacelle. The rest of it however? Nope!

The Cerritos variant is kinda cool looking but pass. Same for the Damocles.

I did finally get an update from Fanhome on the Archimedes. They put it up for sale, processed everyone’s payments and then were told by the warehouse that they couldn’t proceed with any shipments because it was sold out. It seems sketchy. Plus they don’t know when it will be in stock so they refunded my money and will re-charge me when it’s ready to ship.

What bothers me is that there was little to no communication beyond that apology for the delay email that came with the 20 dollar off coupon. If it’s that big of an issue with delivery just explain it. I shouldn’t have to ask.

I’m so glad. I know several people on Facebook were excited for a TOS Galileo. But let’s not waste a space for a brand new ship on something that’s been reproduced dimes a dozen.
