Nah, it's the Romulan Kestral Shuttle as seen ferrying Senator It'sAFAAAAKKKEEEE to DS9 and his doom.

Highlights the issue with the standard box size nicely - you get a LOT of plastic for a ship like that which is about as long as it is wide. But one like the Vesta or the Enterprise-F where the ship is very lengthy and narrow has to come out comparatively tiny in order to remain in proportion. And yet they're the same price.

Received Seven’ Fenris Ranger model the other day. An interesting little piece. Reminds me of something from a Gerry Anderson project. I could see this easily being in Thunderbirds.

I do find it funny reading the magazine about how they came up with the design, etc. And I don’t think we ever get a good look of it in the show. If it wasn’t for this, I doubt we would ever know what it looked like.

I also got this nice art piece of the Discovery A. It’s a bit small for the price it cost but I’m sure it’ll look good when I get it framed and put on a wall. I do find it funny that the artist showed it with the shuttlebay doors open.

This is, unfortunately, true for a lot of DIS / PIC ships...

Which ships are shown on the preview page this time?

I love that the XL Oberth is going to be the Pegasus - that's a great touch! Looks like a lovely model too.

Well the Grissom would be too fragile. One touch and BOOM!

Shouldn't it come wedged in rock?

That would be a cool diorama. I'm sure someone will do it.

Going back to Lower Decks for a second. According to a Star Trek Online dev stream, CBS is apparently pretty controlling on how Lower Decks content is portrayed, and it's making it difficult for Crypric to add Lower Decks stuff, since it would have to look cartoony like the show, which would clash pretty hard with STO's base art style.

For example, they added the main cast to the game as 'DOFF's, and they were originally 3D renders (with some painting done over), but CBS requested they change the icons to images from the show

I could see that also applying to the Eaglemoss models, if/when they do them they'll look as close to the show's art style as possible with a real life model.

In fairness, the original STO Boimler was deeply cursed. On the level of 80's Super Mario merch, which IIRC is why we have these approvals processes now for tie-ins.

    Thanks for sharing.

Al Rivera, leader of STO, replied with an image of the USS Valiant NCC-60890, Star Trek Online's in-game playable interpretation of this design: https://twitter.com/CaptainGeko/status/1415772544175464449
I thought both vessels look the same but the STO-Valiant has some differences to the NCC-6089. I might consider getting the NCC-60890 GamePrinted at some point just to compare them in real life.

Izo Iscariot also shared the images and magazine cover in the Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1628123504177653?multi_permalinks=2999808127009177
