Star Trek & Star Wars meeting

I think technologically, Star Trek is far superior to Star Wars. Weapons, shields, speed--all Star Trek. In a fleet battle, I think Star Trek would destroy Star Wars. But the Force is the great equalizer.

The Federation wouldn't be able to have an answer if they ran across a ship of Force users.

That said, Plato's Stepchildren provided a blue print, where McCoy would learn of midichlorians and give Kirk double those of Vader.

Q could certainly be a match for a Force user as well. So would Gary Mitchell, and maybe Apollo, as long as Vader couldn't figure out how to destroy the temple.

Vader, attempting to use Force Persuasion.

Spock: Your mind control abilities have no effect on me, Sir.... for I, am a Vulcan.

Kirk, confidentally striding towards Vader, swinging out his arm, knocking the saber away from Vader telekinetically)

Kirk: Not today, Vader. Not on my watch.

Kirk: of we could just...

persuade

Darth... Vader to

just be a bit more peaceful

then maybe this forceeeee could be somwhow

harnassed... for something good!

The way things are going, it's only a matter of time.

It'll be every bit as bad as the harebrained ideas here make it sound, but I'll probably see it anyway out of morbid curiosity.

I suspect I'll walk out of the theater wondering just what it was that I ever saw in either franchise. The times when either one had any creative merit at all will seem so brief, and so long ago.

Force persuasion would never work on Kirk and Spock. Too strong willed.

I doubt we will ever see a real crossover. The best way to do it would be animated since the actual actors we would want are either too old or dead.

I wasn't even aware that it existed--but I have not read many EU stories.
I think it's pretty well liked. The overall series covers the early conflicts between the Jedi and Sith.
With all of the crazy crossovers we've been getting in comics the last few years, like Star Trek/Planet of the Apes, and Ghostbusters/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I'm honestly shocked we haven't gotten a Star Trek/Star Wars one. I guess the big question would be if they could get Paramount/CBS and Disney to agree to it.

Ahem. PLATO'S STEPCHILDREN? Tweedledee? Tweedledum? Flamenco Spock? Horsey Shatner?

That's not the mind trick. And once Kirk injected himself with midichlorians/super Plato's Stepchildren formula, he was more powerful than anyone.

The human interest stories would have fit well.

For a post 09' JJ trek--the Quinto Spock would be talking to Leia about his planet being destroyed--and how his mind is unquiet--and Leia responding about how she knows all about both ;)

I could see Kirk looking at Luke as a surrogate son for David.
This should have been filmed in 1985

Really, Kirk only should have died at Vader's hands.
