Maybe we could crowdfund a documentary THE SEARCH FOR VULCAN FURY where we interview all the main players and try and track down the material?!

In terms of irreplaceable assets, I'd say the snippets of Vulcan Fury performances floating around rank higher than a demo that could be recreated as a FreeSpace mod.

Does nothing from that era remain on the board? Because I found this topic (link) from 2007 with some links.

I’m planning on mentioning this game to both Walter Koenig and William Shatner next time they’re in town, this April.

Not unless something happens regarding this untold voyage of the starship Enterprise.

On ebay there is a box of breakfast cereal from 1997 which includes some kind of SOVF instant win sweepstakes.

Every time I see this thread pop up I get this little giddy spark of hope that what remains has finally been found after all of these years and it will be completed. It just had so much potential. I still remember the ads on Starfleet Academy, or was it Klingon Academy? Can't remember now.

There was a trailer for it on the Starfleet Academy game. I wasn't looking forward to it as much as some others were, but I remember hearing about the problems on TrekToday twenty years ago.

I’m mainly interested in it as it’s the last lost voyage of the original crew, especially considering Nimoy, Kelley and Doohan are no longer with us.

I remember when DeForest Kelley passed in 1999, there was a spike in interest for the game since this would have likely been Kelley's last performance as Dr. McCoy.

I'd still like a definitive answer on how much dialogue was recorded I've heard accounts that say all of it and some that say very little was recorded. The actors might be the best bet to answer that question.

I hope that they can find it and animate the episodes along with Judgement Rites and 25th anniversary edition. It could act as the 5th year of the five year mission. The Animated series would be year 4. Very curious about these stories.

Where would you find the voice tracks and animation cels?

I had no idea the site went back that far. lol

But one of the links in that old thread takes you to TrekCore and they have a faq with some questions there were answered by John McGinley who worked on some aspects of VF.

But here is a link to some video of Johns that have some very short clips of the game and some even some voice work from Shatner, and you can here the actor who was brought in to do some of Kelly's voice work, plus there are more are a few more if you go to the link bottom link.

I believe that a story that was specifically written to be interactive wouldn't work very well as a passive viewing experience, without a great deal of restructuring and re-writing, which would then require a bunch of new voice work.

It's too bad no scripts survived even. They could honestly just get sound-alike voice actors, Star Wars does it all the time.

Christopher Lee was apparently so impressed with Corey Burton's Dooku voice that when he was asked to replace Burton's dialogue for the Clone Wars movie he said something like, "I don't know why I'm even here when I apparently already was here!"
