This will probably get me in trouble.
As some of you may know, the cable station: MeTV is rerunning Star Trek TOS on Saturday nights.
But, 6 days a week, they show the old Looney Tunes cartoons. So, this started a rather unusual dinner time conversation with my wife....
You see, Star Trek's musical soundtracks are absolutely exceptional. But... So are Looney Tunes.
And my wife and I were imagining what would happen if you redid Trek's soundtracks with Carl W. Stalling's soundtracks...
For all the foxy babes appearing on screen all out to seduce the Captain, you'd have to use "You must have been a beautiful baby"
or "Frankie & Johnny"
or "You great big beautiful doll"
And for things like enemy space ships or giant amoebas we have the storm music from Die Fliegander Hollander:
When Kirk has to sneak around on the decks of a Romulan Battlecruiser...
And for when Kirk has to fight his first officer to the death, or sword fight a bunch of crafty Klingons:
Yeah, we have some unusual dinnertime conversations....
