Star Trek: Renegades

Really? I didn't know he was THAT involved.......

I didn't the little bastard was involved at all

He is listed as a "consulting producer".........thought someone here might know WTF that is.

Hopefully he doesn't have too much of an influence, it doesn't seem so.

Apparantly Sky and co are working on shooting dates for The Requiem, so hopefully that should be happening very soon.

Who's writing The Requiem now that Melinda Snodgrass is out? Is there a finished script?

I've been idly worrying about this for months now.

I admit I'm slightly worried about the recent radio silence - apparantly they have a new writer and are locking down filming dates.

I'm really looking forward to this one, particularly considering the stellar cast list, some of the characters I thought we saw the last of!

They might be observing Regulation 46A

Alec is not part of out latest production. He came to our set for 3 days back in 2013 and we gave him a Consulting Producer title for that episode. Alec took it upon himself to take the reward on behalf of STR, and will give it us when he can. Nothing really nefarious about the situation, as he was on the crew for that particular episode the award was given for.

Also, no need to worry about the silence, we are trying to lockdown production dates that will work for most of the actors involved.

Considering who you've got that must be a challenge ot coordinate? Three DS9 kids (well two + one from TNG), Chekov, Uhura, Tuvok, a few other returns from the pilot PLUS Chakotay and Jadzia neither of whom I'd expected to see again in Star Trek played by their original actors! I have a penchant for seeing famliliar actors reprising their roles so that's why I am so interested in this.

Plus obviously being older and in a completely different era this was a familiar Admiral Chekov but Renegades gave Koenig an opportunity to play him in a slightly different light to before.

I'm curious to see how it all fits together in an hour; being the 50th Anniversary and all it's fitting there's this little 'reunion' going on - you have Chekov's swansong as well as the continuation of the Renegades/Lexxa plot from the first one I guess as the main threads with other stuff going on in between...

All I really want is, at some point the film, somebody to call out rudder commands to turn the ship instead of "xxx mark xxx by xx"

Like "Helm, full rudder, hard to starboard" ?

Yeah...

We know that rudder commands are canon - Kirk gave the order "Right standard rudder" which Valeris accepted and repeated as a valid command in Undiscovered Country. He later issues "Hard to starboard!" at the Battle of Khitomer

If Tom or anybody from the Renegades team promises some rudder commands during a battle sequence, I will donate a ton of money

Edit: I know its a minor and really a non point, but your supposed command makes no sense - no helmsman in the world would take that as a valid order. It would be

"Helm, hard to starboard"

To which the Helmsman will ALWAYS reply with

"Hard to starboard, Aye, Sir" *puts the wheel hard over* "Helm is hard to starboard, Sir"

But there is no wheel to pull over. :techman:

Does anyone know if the original scores for TOS still physically exist?
Yes, I believe that the final orchestrated scores, as opposed to the composer's original sketches, are in storage at CBS. Where at CBS, I don't know. I do know they're at CBS is LA, weather that means CBS Radford, CBS Television City on Fairfax, or at some CBS office building, is not information that I have. Years ago, when Jeff Bond was researching his book on Trek music, he was able to copy some scores and sketches. Also, the Trek music tour that is currently on-the-road, had access to scores. I would have liked to track them down, but that proved difficult to say the least. I DO happen to have copies of Sandy Courages sketches to The Cage, and WNMHGB. I also have full scores to ST:TMP and ST2:TWOK main title cues.
