Star Trek Raider/Pirate Ship

This is a ship I just finished, was thinking it could be a new enemy for the Discovery Series!

Nice What are the yellow glowy bits on the front; deflector?

I like this, especially the large impulse engines since in my mind it looks like it can run down anything sub-warp.

If those protrusions on the bow are guns I would prefer to see them on turrets because the aesthetic reminds me of the NX-01 and Enterprise was good about putting weapons on turrets. If more details were lifted from the NX I think it would strengthen the design. Of course, lifting too straight would date the craft earlier than you probably like.

Reminds me a little of the vessel in Sternbach's Chronology--but the nacelles turned the other way
