Star Trek props in other shows / movies

That prop has been literally almost everywhere.... It's also only one of a kind because no one's ever, that I know of reproduced it. But that thing sure does get around.

What about guns and weapons, have they popped up in other shows / movies? I recall the Bat'leth being in an episode of SG1.

The items that were obviously identifiable as Trek related are probably long gone, I’m thinking of things like Gary Seven’s suit or Captain Christopher’s flight helmet.
Assuming those weren't rentals from some prop house. After all, part of the Parallel Planet idea was to use existing period clothing and props to keep costs down.

Its crazy how recognizable trek stuff can be. The second photo shows they used more than just LCARS console. Judging by the arch at the top, they have most of a TNG shuttlecraft set, minus the canopy/windows.

Oh i noticed that the second time I looked at the screencap. I really do wonder if anything else was used in other productions like guns, or warp engines, set pieces that were too good to throw away.

No idea about the Christies auction of 2006. Was Paramount involved in 7 days at all? I just wondered how they got the Star Trek control panels if they were not a paramount production? Wouldn't there be issues with items like that?
Seven Days was a show produced by Paramount Television that aired on UPN in the U.S., so yeah. It aired from 1998-2001, so that would have been when Voyager was in its later seasons and DS9 was wrapping up. The art department on Seven Days may have kept the graphics in place as an in-joke, or they might not have been allowed to change them, or it just might not have mattered to them.

On the subject of Modern Props rentals, occasionally there were modifications that the Trek shows made to their rentals that stayed after they were done with it. There was a futuristic-looking column with a TV monitor built into it that showed up on an episode of Voyager, and they put some of those gold LCARS-shaped appliques that they started using in the DS9/VOY/TNG movie era around where the monitor was housed. That column later turned up on an episode of Firefly with the gold LCARS pieces still in place. The stuff they rented from Modern Props is really fun to spot, because it shows up in tons of shows and movies from the 80s and 90s.

Here's a vague one that's not even a prop but...

I seem to remember some episode of a show I can't recall that was not related to Star Trek where when someone was doing something with a machine, the sound effects used were from the TOS bridge sound effects.

How's that for being vague and only barely on topic?

Seriously, maybe someone might recall what show it was?

Wasn't that episode of CSI NY where some guy built a "time machine" and they used a whole bunch of different sound effects from Dr Who to Star Trek and left it ambiguous whether the machine was real or not.

The planet hollywood in NYC had a cardassian phaser rifle in a display case with a placard saying it was from "the predator" movie. I felt like telling someone it was wrong, but I was a small kid in the big apple lol.

They had a model of the enterprise refit too. This was back in 2002, so no clue if it's still there. It was in a display case when you take the staircase up to main restaurant. They also had the filming model of the 1989 batwing from batman, which blew my mind at the time.

Mork's Col. Green jumpsuit is one of those oddball things for how characters develop. Mork originally appeared on Happy Days. It was supposed to be a single episode appearance. So the reuse of an old costume made sense. I have no idea if they later duplicated it or not, but as someone who watched Mork and Mindy, Robin only wore that costume for this conversations with Orson, and a few other rare instances like the photo above. So in theory it would be likely that that same TOS era costume could have lasted the entire Mork and Mindy series. I have no idea if Bill Theiss created it or if they got it from a rental place.

And it was that one off appearance on Happy Days that led to Mork and Mindy, because people just went gaga over his character and wanted more for whatever reason. I never thought he was that funny on Happy Days.
