John Noble AND "percussive maintenance"? Beam me up!
It's not an insult. The two series I've always felt have a lot more in common than fans of both admit and they overemphasize their differences. Prodigy seems to be a lot fun but they do seem to be leaning heavily on the "wretched hive", evil overlord, and ragtag band of misfits elements.
I'm interested in how they grow and change from where.
As I said, I think you're really reaching to pretend the two are all that similar. The Diviner isn't an "emperor," he's just in charge of one prison asteroid. Dal isn't a predestined chosen one. It's a really bad analogy.
Plus, of course, Star Wars never claimed to be doing anything more than recycling a lot of much older tropes -- Joseph Campbell, mythic hero's journey, all that stuff. It's ridiculous to try to give it credit for being the source of story conventions that it was blatantly copying to begin with.

I don't know what to make of this. The coalescent life form from "Aquiel?" A baby space amoeba? I don't think Murf can be one of the Hundred infant changelings, since he's purple, not amber.
Or... given that there's a Brikar in the show, the obscure reference could be to a novel or comic. Any thoughts?

That creature was just the Thing. A bit too spooky for a kids show
Is it from DS9? One of the soft, gelatinous species mentioned in an episode?
They just said it been mentioned in something before and it was a deep cut. Could be from a book I suppose
